3 Salt The hardness of wat er varies from place to place . I f hard wat er is used in the dishwasher , deposits will form on the dishes and utensils. The appliance is equipped with a special softener that uses a salt specifically designed to eliminate lime and miner als from the water .
4 Rinse Aid This product makes dishes sparkle and helps them to dr y without spotting. The dispenser is locat ed on the inside panel of the door . When the low rinse aid indicator (F ig.2-5) lights you must add rinse aid. Loading the rinse aid T o load the rinse aid: 1.
5 Detergent tablets e xplained Classic T abs The tab contains Stain Soakers, which dissolv e instantly to soften really dried on food residues such as baked on egg and cheese sauces. The blue layer then w orks to break down and lift off food remains while the white lay er cleans all traces of dirt away for a spotless and brilliant finish.

8 W ashing Dishes Progr amme selec tion The most appropriate pr ogramme can be identified by comparing the type of crockery, cutlery , etc., as well as the amount and condition of food r emains, with the details contained in T able 2-2 , the wash c ycle table.
9 Interrupting the progr amme A cycle that is under way can be modified if it has only been running for a short time. Other wise, the detergent ma y have already been used, and the applianc e may have already drained the wash water . If this is the case the detergent dispenser must be refilled; see ‘L oading the detergent’ .
10 Memor y F unction Module If a power cut occurs while the selected washing prog ram is active, the progr am is not cancelled. The controls use a microproc essor device to memorize the information about the selected washing program. Once the po wer is returned to the machine, the dish washer will resume from the point it was interrupted .

15 5. Installation P ositioning the Dishwasher The dishwasher should be alig ned to the front of the adjacent cabinets, with allowanc e made for the door thickness. The dishwasher has wat er supply and drain hoses that can be positioned on either to the left or the right.
16 Elec trical Connection The dishwasher must be installed b y a qualified elec trician, in accordanc e with all relevant British Standards/Codes of Practice (in particular BS 7671), or with the relevant national and local regulations.
17 ArtNo.800-0106 - Fitting the door The adjustable feet allo w the dishwasher to be raised up to 870 mm. If the space between the floor and the underside of the work surface is more than 870 mm, the unit should be positioned on suitable wooded spacers that should be fix ed to the floor (F ig.
18 Securing the Dishwasher Using the two screws supplied , secure the dishwasher to the underside of the worktop (F ig.5-12) . F or non-wooden worktops (e .g. marble) two brackets are provided to allo w the appliance to be secured to the sides of the adjacent cabinets.
19 6. G ener al Information Measures must be taken to ensure that the units tha t are subsequently re-sited as freestanding appliances cannot topple over . This can be achieved by bolting the dishwasher to the wall or fitting it under a continuous w ork sur face, that is screwed t o the adjacent cupboards.
