If other messages appear, foll ow the instructions displayed. Important ❒ If you cannot make copies as you want because of paper type, paper size, or paper capacity problems, use recommend ed paper.
When the Machine Does Not Operate As Wanted 6 1 The main power indica- tor continues blinking and does not tu rn off when pressed. This occurs in the follow- ing cases: • The exposure glass cover or ADF is open. • The machine is com- municating with ex- ternal equipme nt.
When You Have Problems Operating the Machine 7 1 Cannot print in duplex mode. Duplex printing cannot be done with thick pa- per, OHP transparencies, or labels selected as the paper type. Select a paper type that allows dupl ex printing. See “Paper Type: Tray 1-4”, General Settings Guide.

When using curled paper, take the stiffness out of the paper with your hands to straighten out the curl, or load the pape r up side down.
