Server R S V - S 8 U s e r M a n u a l 2.3 RAID LEVELS 2.3.1 DISK STRIPING (RAID 0) Striping is a performance- oriented, non-redund ant data mapping technique. While St riping is discussed as a RAID Grou p type, it is does not pr ovide any faul t tolerance.

These components ar e the HARDW ARE, SA T A RAID5 HBA DRIVER, and SA T A RAID5 Utility . The steps on how to setup these packages is described in the following sections.

Server R S V - S 8 U s e r M a n u a l Do not click any disk to upgrade to dynamic disk, t han click Next> . When the Write Signature and Up grade Disk Wizar d has completed, click Finish. Right-click on the Unallocated partition and select Create Partition… fr om the pop-up menu.
