Call Functions 26 R edialing the La st Numb er The phone stores the numbers of the calls you’v e dialed , receiv ed, or mi ssed if the call er is i dentifi ed. T o recall any of these numbe rs: 1. If you typed characters on the display , pr ess the key to retu rn to Idle mode.

Call Functions 30 Vibr ation profile Vibra tion profil e is convenie nt when you wish to stop the phone from making any noise, (in a theater for exam ple). In Idle mode , press and hold the key unt il the “ V i bration profil e on ” message and the Vibr ation profile icon ( ) display .

35 Section 5: Entering T ext This section outlines how to select the desired text input mode when entering characters into your phone. This section also de scr ibes h o w to use the T9 p redi c tive text system to reduce the number of ke y stroke s assoc iated with e ntering text.
Entering T ext 36 3. Shift converts the alphabetic charac ter into uppercase. Cha nges the text inp ut mode to Upper/Lo wer case mode. 4. Alt allows you to use characters displayed at the top of the QWERTY keys. Ex amples: $, @, #, ! 5. Symb ol displays the Symbols page.

39 Using T9 Mode T9 is a predictive text inpu t mode that allows you to key in any charac ter us ing single keystr okes. This tex t input mode is b ased on a b uilt- in dictio nary . T o enter a word in T9 mod e: 1. When you are in T9 m ode, press any one of the le tter keys t o enter a word.
Entering T ext 40 1. T o insert the sym bol a s ymbol, press the correspo nding number key . 2. T o display more symb ols, press the Up and down Navigation keys. 3. T o clear the symbol(s) , press . When the i nput field is empty , this key returns th e display to the previous mode.

Changing Y our Settings 84 Wallpaper This menu allows you to cha nge the background image to display in Idle mode. Wallpaper sett ings can only be used in the open/ landscape mode.

Changing Y our Settings 88 The Change password feature al lows you to ch ange you r current phon e password t o a new o ne. Y ou must enter th e current password before you can specify a new one. Once you en ter a new pass word, you are asked to c onfirm the chan ge by entering the password again.
89 The Change PIN2 fea ture al lo ws you to change your current PIN2 to a ne w one. Y ou must first enter the current PIN2 (obtained from T -Mobile) befo re you can specify a new one. Once yo u enter a new PIN2, you are as ked to re-ent er the new PIN2 to as confirmati on.
Changing Y our Settings 90 Memor y Settings Memor y settings allow you to view deta ils about the phone’ s memor y , and the m emor y card, if one is instal led. Memor y settings is only ava ilable in open/landscape mode. Clear pho ne memor y From this menu you can clear the memo ry f or Media, Messa ging, Phonebook, Calendar , T asks or Memo.
