Getting Started 4 Section 1: Getting Star ted This section explains how to start using your phone by first configuring your hardware, activa ting your service, and then setting up your voice mail. Setting Up Y our Phone Prior to use it is necessar y to install both the ba tter y and SIM into their corresponding internal compartments.
5 Installing the SIM Card When you subscribe to a cellular network, you are provided with a plug-in SIM card loaded with yo ur subscription details, such as your PIN, available o ptional services, and many others f eatures.
Getting Started 6 3. Replace the ba ttery co ver (the back of the pho ne) by putting the tabs into the slots as shown by the arrow (1). 4. Press the cover down (2) into place. 5. Press down firmly along the e dges of the cover to ensure that the cover is flush with the phone (3).
7 Charging a Batter y Y our phone is powered by a rech argeable Li-ion battery . The T ravel Adapter , which is used to charge the battery , is included with your phone.

Low Ba tter y Indicator When the battery is weak and on ly a few minutes of talk time remain, the “Battery critically low” warning appears and the device sounds a warning tone at regular intervals.
