Call Functions 20 Section 3: Call Functions This section provides procedur es for making and answering calls. This section al so describes features, such as call logs and call timers, that help you make calls and manage your call time.

Enter the number for the first party in your call, then press . 3. When connected, ask the other pa rty to remain on the line.

23 V oic e Commands The voice recogniti on capabilities of yo ur R630 are exceptional due to advanced, spe aker -independent te chnology . This means you do not need to “t rain” your phon e to understand your voice. Y ou can use your voice in a natural manner to dial nu mbers.
Call Functions 24 If the rec ognize d name has multiple numbe rs stored for it (that is, Mobile 1, Mobile 2, Home, and so on), V oice Commands displays the possibl e choices an d prompts you with “ Which location? ” 5.

Call Functions 26 Call W aiting If you’re on a call, your phone beeps when another call is incoming. Contact your Wirele ss Carrier for availability . 1. Press to connect and ask th e call ing party to remain on the line . 2. Press and the second caller is placed on hold and you’re returned to the orig inal caller .

Understanding Y our Contacts 32 Section 4: Understanding Y our Contacts This section details how you can ma nage your d aily contacts by storing their names and numbers in your Contacts list. Y ou can have your Contacts en tries sorted by name. Conta cts Up to 500 entries can be stored in Contacts.

41 Contacts Groups Contact Group s let you easily send messages to multiple, selected Contacts. Y ou can also use Groups to find Contact entries and to add/remove Cont acts names in a Group or to create or rename a Group.

Messaging 52 • Reply With Copy — Compose and send a reply message to the originator of the received message and in clude a copy of the original message. •E r a s e — Delete this message from the Inbox. • Lock / Unlock — Blo ck/perm it erasure of th e highligh ted message.
53 4. T ap to compl ete the messa ge text and set message send options. The following opti ons appear in the display: • Save As Draft — Save the message to yo ur Drafts box. • Insert Quick T ext — Insert p re-comp osed text in your message. •P r i o r i t y Level — Choose Urgent or Normal .
Messaging 54 V oicemail Messages in you r voice ma ilbox are l ogged in the Vo icemail folder of the Messages menu. Open the Voicemail folder to view the Callbac k # (if avai lable), Urge ncy , and other details of the Voicemail messa ges in your voice m ailbox.
55 • All Messages — Deletes all unlocked messa ges stored in all of the message fold ers, except Voicemail. 3. Select the folder conta ining the messages that you wish to delete. Y ou’re prompted to confirm the e rasure of all messages in t he selected fo lder o r in all folders.

Screen Layouts Camera Screen When you activate your phone’ s camera, the first line of th e display is reserved for the current camera setti ngs and picture counter .

Camera-Camcorder 62 2. Select the desired Timer option. If you sele ct 3 , 5 , or 10 , the Self Timer icon appears in t he camera screen in the display . When you pres s the Camera key ( ), the countdown timer indicate s the time remaining bef ore the camera takes the picture.
63 Ef fects Change the look of your pictures with Effects. Choose from six available settings such as Gray , Negative, an d Sepia. The selected colo r effect previews i n the display befo re you take the picture. 1. In Camera mode, tap Options ➔ Camera tab ➔ Effects .

Camera-Camcorder 66 Re s o l u t i o n This is an indicator only . Camco rder reso lution is f ixed at 176 x 144 (pixels). Brightness Brightness lets you temporarily lighten the vide os you record. Increasing the Brightness (-4 – +4) lightens you r videos ( 0 is normal).
