4 Section 1: Getting Star ted Understanding this User Manual The chapters of this manual gene rally follow th e same order as the menus and sub-menus in yo ur phone. A robust index for quick reference to most features begins on page 150. Also inc luded is important safety informati on that you shou ld know before using your phone.
Getting Started 5 Batter y Indica t or The battery indicator in the upper -right corner of the display indicates battery power level. Four ba rs indicate a full charge, while an empty icon indicates an almost empty batter y .
6 2. Insert the top end of the ba tter y into the phone housing using the Directio nal arrow printed on the battery . The gold contacts at the battery end must align with co ntacts on t he phone. Push bottom end of the battery down until it snaps into place.

8 Wall Charger The wall charger is a convenie nt, light-weight charger that rapidly charges your phone fr om any 120/ 220 V AC outlet. 1. Pull the connector co ver out and turn to ex pose the connector . Insert the wall charger adapter end with the arrow up into the co nnector at the bottom of the phone .

Making a Call 1. Slide the p hone up and enter the phone number to call using the nu meric keypad and press the Send key .

Call Functions 25 V oice Commands Voice Commands is ad vanced spee ch recognition software that can be used to activate a wide variety of f unctions on your phone. Voice Commands software automa tically voice activates all contacts f or voice dialin g and se arching, no pre-recording or training needed.

If Voice C ommands is not sure of the number that you said, a list of possible matche s appears in the display . 8. Y ou’re asked to confirm th e correct number as Voice Commands displays the results.
28 Send <Msg Type> Send T ext 1. Slide the phone up and press the V oice Commands key . 2. A list of commands appears in the display and the audio prompt "Please say a co mmand" plays through the earpiece or s peakerphone. 3. Say “Send T ext” at a distan ce of 3-12 inches from the microphone.

Note: If Auto Receive is set to On the message will automatically display . Message Folders Y our phone provides default messa ge folders for your T ext and Multimedia messages.

68 5. For T ext and Multimedia messages, touch REPL Y to reply to the message. Note: When the Inbox exceeds 150 text messages, the first message in the list is replaced with the next incoming message. Multimedia messa ges are replaced when the phone’ s maximum memor y is reached.

Note: Y our phone does not allo w you to view the lock code for obvious security reasons.

96 TTY Y our phone is fully TTY compat ible. Connect th e TTY equipment to the headset jack. Before you can use yo ur phone with a TTY device, you’l l need to enable TTY functions in the p hone. 1.
