In a cluster, each V-Switch int eracts in an active-active, peer-to-p ee r fashion with the oth er V-Switch, or neighbor , in the cluster.
Chapte r 5: V-S witch Clust er Configura tion 73 . When creating a cluster, it is recommended that the same port on each V-Switch is used to connect to the same FC storage device. This increases the chance of the storage device receiving the same default storage number on both V- Switches during their auto-discovery cycles.

V-Switch 2 activates V-Switch 1’s IP address and takes over expo sure of Volume 1 to Host 1, repre sented by the orange dashed line. 90 SANRAD V-Switch User Manu al Creating a Subdisk (LUN Carving) The V-Switch supports a maximum of 512 subdisks. You can create on e or more subdisks on a ph ysical disk. The su bd isks can then be converted to sim ple volumes to be used for creating con catena ted, striped and mirro red virtual volumes.
