14 Preparing the components for use EM 100 G2 rack-mount receiver Mounting the receiver feet T o ensure that th e receiver cannot slip on the surface on which it is placed, four self-adhesive sof t rubber feet are supplied. Ensure that the base of the receiver is c lean before mounting the rubber feet.
15 Connecting the a mplifier/mixing console The EM 100 G2’s audio out puts are availab le as an XLR-3M socket and a ¼” (6.3 mm ) jack socke t , allowing you to simultaneous ly connec t two units (e.g. ampl ifier, mix ing console). Th e adjusted audio ou tput level is com- mon for both so ckets.
16 T o moun t two EM 100 G2 in to a r ack: Place the two receivers side by side onto a flat sur- face, their bottom sides facing upwards. Align th e connecting pla te # over the h oles in the bottom sides of the receiver s. Secure the connecting plate # to the rece ivers using eight of the supplied recessed head screws (M 3x6).
17 EK 100 G2 bodypack receiver Inserting and repl acing the bat teries For powering the EK 100 G2 bodypack receiver, you can either use two 1.5 V AA size batteries o r the rechargeable Sen nheiser BA 2015 acc upack. Press the two unlocking buttons and open the battery compartment cover .
18 Mounting the b odypack receiver to a camera Use the supplied cam era kit to mount the receiver t o the camera’s fla sh moun t. The camer a kit cons its of: y 1 perfo rated pl ate y 1 flas h m.
19 Attaching the microp hones Use the microphone clips ! to attach th e ME 2 and ME 4 clip -on mic ro- phones to clot hing (e.g. ti e, lapel). Adjust the M E 3 headmic so that a c omfortable and secure fit is en sured. Positioning the microphones The ME 3 and ME 4 microphones are dire ctional microphones, i.

Loose n th e scr ew an d pu t it t o one side . Gently ease the capsule out of the contacts and th en pull it out of the hou- sing as show n.

25 The operating menu A special feature of the Sennheiser ew 100 G2 series is the si milar, intuitiv e operatio n. As a result, the units are easy to operate and adjustments to the setti ngs can be made qu ickly and “with out looking” – even in stressful situati - ons, for exampl e on stage or duri ng a live show or presen tation.
