3 CHAPTER 2 Installation AutoVi ew 3050/3100/3200 Swit ch Con nectivity The AutoVi ew 3050/3 100/320 0 switching s ystem transmits key board, video and m ouse (KVM) information between operato rs and target devices attached to th e switch over a network using either an Ethernet or modem con nection.

Chapter 2: Installation 9 Connecting to the OBWI through a firewall For AutoView 3050/3 100/3200 switch installations that use the OBWI for access, fou r ports must be opened in a firewall if o u tsi de access is desired. In a typi cal configurat ion, as s hown in Figur e 2.

13 CHAPTER 3 Local Port Operat ion The AutoView 30 50/3100/3200 s witch includ es a local port on the back. This port enables you to connect a keyb oard, monitor an d mouse to the switch for direct access. The AutoView 3050/3100/ 3200 switches include th e OSCAR graphical user interface for c onfiguring your s ystem and selecting target devices.
