Loading th e Imagi ng Film 16 Loading the Imaging Film Y our fax use s a roll of imaging f ilm t o creat e printed text a nd images. The print head in the fax applies heat to the ima ging fil m to transf er ink to t he paper . Follow the steps below to l oad or repl ace the fil m.

DO NOT DISCARD THE FOUR GREEN GEARS! 3 Remove the i maging fil m cartr idge from the print compartment (grasp the handle at the front of t he cartridge) and tu rn it over .
Loading th e Imagi ng Film 18 7 Insert the lar ge gear into the gree n end o f t h e e m p t y s p o o l . M a k e s u r e t h e t w o protrus ions on the lar ge gear fit firmly into th e slots in t he end of t he spool.
