AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessing the pr oduct Access from the Internet Once connected, the Axis product is accessible on your local net work (LAN). To access the product from the Internet you must con fi gure your network router to allow incoming data traf fi c to the product.
AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessing the pr oduct Note • The default administrator user name root is permanent and cannot be deleted. • If the password for root is lost, the product must be reset to the factory default settings. See Reset to factory default settings, on page 47 .
AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a A ccessing the pr oduct Click Snapshot to save a snapshot of the video image. Right-click the video image to save it in JPEG format on your computer. This button is primarily intended for us e when the AXIS Media Control vie wer toolbar is not available.

AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio Setting the compression level affects the image quality and bandwi dth; the lower the compression , the higher the image quality with higher bandwidth requirements. To avoid bandwidth proble ms on the network, you can limit the fra me rate allowed to each view er.
AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio Increasing the Sharpness can increase bandwidth usage. A sharper image might increase image noise especially in low light conditions. A lower setting reduces image nois e, but the whole image will appear less sharp.
AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio View Area A view area is a cropped par t of the full view. The view area is treate d as a video source in Live View and has its own vi deo stream and PTZ setti ngs. To enable a view area, go to Video & Audio > Camera Settings and select Enable View Area .

AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a Video and A udio Audio Clips An audio clip is a sound fi le that can be played either whe n a n event occurs or manually from the Live View page. Audio clips can be uploaded to the product or recorded by a microphone connected to the product.

AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a Ev e n ts Events The Axis product can be con fi gured to pe rform actions when di fferent events occur, for e xample, start a record ing when motion is detected. The set of conditio ns that de fi nes how and when the action is triggered is called a n Action Rule .

AXIS P3344 Fix ed Dome Netw ork Camer a System Options System Options Security Users User access control is enabled by default and can be con fi gured under System Options > Security > Users . An administrator can set up other users by givi ng them user names and passw ords.

With this option, date and time are set once and will not be updated automatically.
