AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera Access the Product Set the Root P assword To access the Axis product, you must set the password for the default administrator user root . This is done in the Congure Root P assword dialog, which opens when the product is accessed for the rst time.

Click WDR on to enable WDR in intense backlight conditions. Click WDR off to disable WDR in low light conditions for optimal exposure.

AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera Set Up the Product Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. To open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera Video and Audio Wide Dynamic Range Wide dynamic range ( WDR - Forensic Capture ) provides balanced images in scenes when there is a considerable contrast between light and dark areas in the image. The camera automatically handles the transition between such scenes and low-light conditions.
AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera Video and Audio Consider an area where people or vehicles move during the day , but where there should be no movements during night. T o be able to, for example, recognize faces or license plates, move the normal light priority slider toward low motion blur .

AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera Detectors Detectors Camera T ampering Camera T ampering can generate an alarm whenever the camera is repositioned, or when the lens is covered, sprayed or severely defocused. To send an alarm, for example an email, an action rule must be set up.

Applications add functionality to the product, for example video analytics and intelligent video capabilities such as recognition, tracking, detection and counting.

AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera Events Events The Event pages allow you to congure the Axis product to perform actions when different events occur . For example, the product can start a recording or send an email notication when motion is detected.
AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera Events - Day/Night Mode – T rigger the rule when the product switches between day mode (IR cut lter on) and night mode (IR cut lter off). This can for example be used to control an external infrared (IR) light connected to an output port.
AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera Events Actions Available actions include: • Day/Night Vision Mode – Set day mode (IR cut lter on) or night mode (IR cut lter off). • Defog Mode – Set Defog Mode to On or Off. This action may be used to change between the modes automatically .

AXIS Q1635 Fixed Network Camera System Options System Options Security Users User access control is enabled by default and can be congured under System Options > Security > Users . An administrator can set up other users by giving them user names and passwords.

Bonjour is enabled by default and the product is automatically detected by operating systems and clients that support this protocol. Bonjour can be disabled under System Options > Network > Bonjour .

Any data stored on the card will be lost when the card is inserted into the Axis product. An SD card inserted into the product can be manually formatted to one of the supported le systems.
