About this Document This manual is intended for administrators and users of AXIS Q6042 PTZ Dome Network Camera, and is applicable to rmware 5.55 and later . AXIS Q6042 PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product To prevent network eavesdropping, the root password can be set via an encrypted HTTPS connection, which requires an HTTPS certicate. HTTPS (Hypertext T ransfer Protocol over SSL) is a protocol used to encrypt trafc between web browsers and servers.
AXIS Q6042 PTZ Dome Network Camera Access the Product The product’s fans are controlled by the ambient temperature and are turned on and off automatically . If required, the fans can be activated manually by clicking the Fan button. To show the button, go to Setup > Live View Cong .

AXIS Q6042 PTZ Dome Network Camera Media Streams The AMC Control P anel can be used to congure various video and audio settings. Please see the AXIS Media Control User’s Manual for more information. The AMC Control P anel is automatically installed on rst use, after which it can be congured.

AXIS Q6042 PTZ Dome Network Camera Set Up the Product Set Up the Product The Axis product can be congured by users with administrator or operator rights. T o open the product’s Setup pages, click Setup in the top right-hand corner of the Live View page.

Bonjour is enabled by default and the product is automatically detected by operating systems and clients that support this protocol. Bonjour can be disabled under System Options > Network > Bonjour .
