22 Basic Settings Band Al lows you t o set the AP fi xed at 802.11b or 802.11g m ode. You c an al so select B+G m ode to allow 802 .11b and 8 02.11g clients at th e same ti me. ESSID Th is is t he name of th e wirel ess signa l whi ch is broadcasted. All th e devices i n the same wireless LAN shoul d have t he same ESS ID.
23 Advanced Settings This ta b allows you to set the ad vanced wireles s options. Th e opti ons inclu ded are Auth enticati on Type, Fragm ent Thr eshold , RTS Threshol d, Beacon Interval , and Pream ble Typ e. You shou ld not ch ange the se paramet ers unl ess you know what effect the cha nges will have on the router.

26 WEP When you s elect 64-b it or 128- bit WE P key, y ou have to ent er WEP keys to encrypt dat a. You can gene rate the k ey by your self and ente r it. You ca n enter four WEP key s and sel ect one o f them as a default key . Then the router can recei ve any pack ets enc rypted by one of th e four keys.
