If you experience any of the following difficulties while using the player , use this troubleshooting guide to help r emedy the problem.
100 Additional Information T r oubleshooting (continued) Symptom Picture noise appears. Even though you set the aspect ratio in “ TV TYPE ” in “ SCREEN SETUP ” of the setup display , the picture does not fill the scr een. The picture is black and white.
101 Additional Information Symptom There is no sound. Sound is noisy . The sound loses its stereo ef fect when you play a VIDEO CD or a CD. The surround ef fect is difficult to hear when you are playing a Dolby Digital or MPEG sound track. The remote does not function.
102 Additional Information T r oubleshooting (continued) Symptom The disc does not play . VES (V irtual Enhanced Surround) does not function. The player does not play from the beginning when playing a disc. The player starts playing the disc automatically .
103 Additional Information Symptom Messages do not appear on the screen in the language you want. The language for the sound track cannot be changed when you play a DVD. The subtitle language cannot be changed when you play a DVD. The subtitles cannot be turned off when you play a DVD.
