6 Gettin g starte d PIN (P ersonal Id entity Nu mber) You may ne ed a PIN (Personal Ide ntity Number) to activa te the services in your ph one. Your PIN is supplied b y your se rvice provider. When yo u enter your PI N, the dig its are h idden wi th an *, un less your PIN starts with the same digit s as an emergency number, for exampl e 11 2.
7 Getti ng star ted First-time use Make sure that the phone is charge d before you turn it on. To tu rn on th e phone 1 Press and hold until the phone vi brates. This indi cates that it is pow ering up. 2 Enter you r PIN, if you ha ve one for your SIM card.
8 Gettin g starte d Setu p wiza rd You can use the setup wizard to he lp you get started with th e basic settings in your pho ne. If you do not want help the first time you turn on your phone, you can sel ect to use the wizar d later. You can also selec t to star t the wizar d from th e menu system at any time.

31 Calling The ma gic word You can record a ma gic word and use it as a vo ice comma nd to allow totally handsfree access to voice dialing. Instead of pressing and holding a volume button to voic e dial, you say the magi c word and then one of your recorde d voice com mands.
32 Calling To rejec t a call using voice comman ds When the ph one rings, say “Busy” . The call is reject ed. The caller is fo rward ed to voicem ail, if activated, or hea rs a busy tone.
