The batter y fits behin d the battery door on t he back of t he PP T 2700. T o install the b attery in your P PT 2700: 1. Open the latches on the battery cover an d lift the battery cover away from the PP T 2700.

2-5 Operatin g the PPT 2700 Using th e Na vigation Bar and Command Bar The navigation bar at the top of the screen displays the active program and current time, and allows you to select programs and cl ose screens. Use the command bar at the bottom of the s creen to perform tasks in pro grams.

In Calend ar , T asks, an d Contacts, you can include a recordin g in the Notes tab. In the Notes p rogram, you can either create a stand-alone recording or in clude a recording in a written note.

3-3 Customizi ng Your PPT 2700 explorer . This is u seful wh en installing applicatio ns on t he PP T 27 00. Applicatio ns stored in the Application f older are ret ained even when th e terminal is co ld booted, just as the PPT 2700 Demo program is retained in memory .

If necessa ry , the entire OS imag e may be dow nloaded t o the te rminal usi ng files provided b y Symbol. 3-5 Customizi ng Your PPT 2700 If the file is a n installer , the installa tion wizar d begins. Follow the directio ns on the screen. Once the s oftware is ins talled on yo ur deskto p computer , the installer transfer s the soft ware to your terminal.

If the pro gram does not appear in the list of insta lled programs , use Fil e Explorer on y our terminal to locate the pr ogram, ta p and hold the progra m, then tap Del ete o n the pop-up menu.
