Maintenance TDS3000 Series Service Manual 6–21 3. Grasp and pull up on the inverter board cable wires to disconnect the cable from J950 on the main board. See Figure 6–10. 4. Use the 1 8 inch flat-bladed screwdriver to carefully lift the display cable from connector J500 on the main board.

Place the oscilloscope face down on a soft surface (such as an anti-static mat), with the bottom facing you.

Maintenance TDS3000 Series Service Manual 6–25 Installation. Use this procedure to install the display module into the front chassis and install the front chassis. 1. Place the front chassis with the display facing you. See Figure 6–13. 2. Push the display module tabs through the chassis holes.

Insert the right end of the front chassis slightly ahead of the left end to clear a slight interference at the right end of the chassis. 8. Route the front-panel cable through the notch located on the bottom edge of the front chassis.
Maintenance TDS3000 Series Service Manual 6–27 3. Push the tab and lift the top end of the inverter board to clear the inverter chassis. See Figure 6–16A. 4. Lift and rotate the bottom end of the inverter board to 45 ° -60 ° angle, then slide the inverter board clear of the chassis.

Maintenance 6–30 TDS3000 Series Service Manual Installation. Use this procedure to reassemble the display module. 1. Insert backlight tubes into the display , with the open side of the tube toward the center of the display , until the tube clicks into place.
Maintenance TDS3000 Series Service Manual 6–31 6. Insert the inverter board assembly into the slots at the top and bottom of the display chassis. The high-voltage shield end of the board is at the top of the display . Push firmly until the tabs click.
