It has no ef fect on any ot her functio n of the u nit. Th e control s enses the a mbient rel ative humidity of the spa ce in which it is loc ated.

6. Main tenance 6.1 Stan dard Air Filter The UA-15 0H is equip ped with a pleated c loth air filter . This filt er should be checked ev ery three months . Operating t he unit wit h a dirty fi lter will r educe dehu midifier capacit y and effic ienc y and may cause the compre ssor to c ycle off and on unn ecessarily on the defrost c ontrol.
7.3 T rouble shooting No dehumi dification, neither impeller f an nor compres sor run with f an switch and ven tilation t imer OFF . 1. Unit unplugged or no power t o outlet. 2. Humidity control set too hi gh or defec tive (Sec. 3.3 & 5.7A) 3. Loose connecti on in inter nal or con trol wiring .
7.4 Refr igerant Ch arging If the re frigerant c harge is l ost due to service or a leak , a new c harge must be a ccurately weig hed in. If any of the old charge is left in the system, it must b e recovered before we ighing in t he new char ge. Refer to the unit na meplate for th e correct c harge weig ht and refrigera nt type.
If sludge is evident in the di scharge lin e, it will likely b e found in the suction l ine. T his indicates the compres sor burned out will ru nning. Sludge an d acid have be en pumped t hroughout t he system. Several changes o f the liqui d and suct ion filter/d riers will probably be necessary to c leanse the syst em.
If the el ectric vent ilation damper fails to o perate: 1. Check that the wiri ng is corr ect and that v oltage is prese nt at the dampe r motor . 2. Check for any obstr uction ins ide the dam per . If the electr ic ventilation damper fail s to operate a fter perfor ming these checks, it must b e replaced.
