Preparations ● When you want to play back DVD video discs, turn on the TV and select the video input source connected to the DVD player . ● When you want to enjoy the sound of DVD video discs or audio CDs from the audio system, turn on the audio system and select the input source connected to the DVD player .

P AGE 26 ADV ANCED OPERA TION Using a Title Menu Press TOP MENU. A list of the titles on the disc is displayed. Pressing T OP MENU again to resume play from the location when T OP MENU was first pressed. • Resume play may not be possible on certain discs.
ADV ANCED OPERA TION P AGE 27 It is possible to change the subtitle language to a different language from the one selected at the initial setup. (See page 34 for further info.) This operation functions only on discs that include multiple subtitle languages.
P AGE 28 ADV ANCED OPERA TION Viewing Multi Angle Discs Note 2 1 This unit can produce a 3D Surround effect, using 3D Surround Sound technology , which simulates multi-chan- nel audio playback from two conventional stereo speak- ers instead of the five or more speakers normally required to listen to multi-channel audio from a home theatre.
ADV ANCED OPERA TION P AGE 29 Repeat Play Repeating viewing (listening) Press REPEA T during playback. Each time this button is pressed, the icon display changes as shown below and the disc will repeat a chapter or title (DVD) or a track (CD/Video CD).
P AGE 30 ADV ANCED OPERA TION Storing Markers in Memory to be Viewed or Listened to again Storing a MARKER in the DVD memory is similar to marking your page in a book. It allows you to quickly return to any point on the disc. Storing a marker in the memory Press MARKER during play at the starting point to be viewed (listened to) again.
ADV ANCED OPERA TION P AGE 31 Zoom Feature Random Play Press ZOOM during playback or still playback to activate the Zoom function. If you press ZOOM repeatedly , the magnification level increases (6 steps). Press D D / E E / F F / G G buttons to move through the zoomed picture.
P AGE 32 ADV ANCED OPERA TION Program Play Press PROGRAM on the stop mode. The program menu screen appears on the TV . • T o exit the screen, press PROGRAM or RETURN. Enter the disk number using the numerical keys (1-5) and then press ENTER. Enter the track number using the numerical keys (0-9) and then press ENTER.
