On the han dset, you may also use the speak erphone while talkin g on your phone . Usin g the han dset speakerphon e is called “ hands-free conversati on ” . This featur e allows you to easily communi cate while performing oth er tasks, such as cookin g.
BASICS BASICS [ 1 9 ] Redialing a Call The last thr ee phone n umbers dialed can be quickly r edialed. Redialing from Standb y Mode 1) Press r edial/p . The phon e number that was last dialed appears on the display . 2) Press r edial/p again. Each press of r edial/p will display one o f the last three n umbers dialed.

BASICS [ 23 ] T one Dialing Switch-over Some teleph one companies use equipm ent that requir es pulse dialing (som etimes referr ed to as rotary di aling). If you need to en ter tone dialin g digits, you can switch-over to tone di aling durin g the call.
BASICS [ 24 ] • If the handset battery is completely drain ed, the handset will not beep when paging. Find Handset T o locate the han dset, press find handset on the base when th e base is in the stan dby mode . The han dset beeps for 60 seconds , and “ Paging ” appears on the handset display .
PHONEBOOK [ 2 5 ] PHONEBOOK Phon ebook allows you to dial a number usin g just a few key presses . Y our phon e stores nam es/numbers in the ph onebook mem ory location, and you can sear ch nam es in alphabetical ord er . Y ou have a total of 100 locati ons that can be used for th e phon ebook (includin g the Speed dials) an d Caller ID messages .

When th e telephone rin gs, the Caller ID featur e allows you to view the caller ’ s name and phon e number on the display bef ore you answer th e phone . CALLER ID CALLER ID [ 3 7 ] • Y ou cannot mak e a call from the Caller ID list if your phone is conn ected to a private branch exchan ge (PBX). • When a long distan ce call has been set, “ 1 ” appears in the display . • If a call comes in via a telephone system that does not o ffer Caller ID service , no inform ation is stored.
