15 Getting st arted Keys Setting up your phone Inserting the SIM card and battery Removing the back cover With the back of the V ertu phone facing y ou, lift the D-ring with your finger nail. Hold the D-ring between y our thumb and f orefinger and turn it anti-clockwise a quarter of a turn until the cov er pops open.

Insert the SIM card into the SIM card tra y , ensuring that the be v elled corner is located at the bottom right and the gold cont ac t area is f acing upw a rds . Slide the SIM card holder back into the body of the phone until it is fully inse rted.
17 Getting st arted Push the card completely so tha t it locks into position. T o retrie ve the memory card, push the card further into the slot, it will unlock and slide out to mak e it easy to remove. Inserting the battery Loca te the ba ttery with the three terminals facing do wnw ards.

26 Home Screen and Clock Clock The clock has the follo wing fea tures: • Displays time and date in either an alogue or digital format. • Displays alarms set for the next 12 hours (analogue display only).

35 Security PIN2 code The PIN2 code is used to protect the advanced user functions of your SIM card, for e xample , fix ed dialling. The PIN2 code must not be the sa me as the PIN code. T o change the PIN2 code: 1. From the Home screen , se lect Menu > Ctrl.

When you call or s end a message to a cont act without specifying which phone number to use, this default number is used.
