7 V ariable Speed Dial: The V ariable Speed Dial selects blade rotation speeds fr om 1 to 10 (low t o high). Pulse Switch: T he Pulse Switch will blend at the speed setting shown on V ariable Speed Dial for as long as the Pulse Switch is held do wn.

Front P ART S AND FEA TURES To Remove the Lid: Lift up on one lid flap while holding the container securely. To Remove the Lid Plug: Rotate the lid plug counterclockwise from the “locked” to “unlocked” position and lift out.

11 C ONTROL P ANEL 1. On/ Off Switch: The On/ Off (or Pow er) Switch is on the right-hand side of the machine base . The On/ Off Switch c ontrols the pow er to the machine.
12 HINTS F OR SETTING SPEEDS Nev er Start on Speeds Abo ve 1 with Hot Liquids to A v oid Possible Burns. Use Caution; escaping steam or splashes may scald. Lock the lid. This will pr ev ent expansion from aff ecting the position of the lid when the machine is turned on.

15 CARE AND CLEANING Container T o prepar e your new machine f or initial use, follow the st eps under Normal Cleaning below . This will clean the unit, and break -in the motor . Normal Cleaning: 1. Fill the container half full with warm water and add a couple drops of liquid dish washing detergent to the container.

W ash the outside surface with a damp soft cloth or sponge, which has been rinsed in a mild solution of liquid detergent and warm water . Do not place the motor base in wat er . 3. T he centering pad can be removed for more thorough cleaning.
