3 Computer System Requ irements for Windows OS T o be able to download photos and videos to your PC you will need the f ollowing m inimum conf iguration: Pentium 4 pro cessor or above with Window .
4 A Q uick Look at Y our Ca mera.
5 Prep aring Y our Camera for Use Y our digita l camera needs 3 AAA batteries in order to operate. Alkaline batterie s are recommended. 1. Slide and open the ba ttery door on the botto m of the camera. 2. Insert the batterie s correctly with the correct polar ity facing up.
6 1. A “ Low battery ” m essage will flash on the LCD wh en the battery power is insufficien t. Shortly thereafter yo ur camera will powe r off. 2.
7 3. Push the card in until you f eel it “ click ” into position. The top of the card should be flushed with t he surface of the camera. A n SD icon will appe ar on the LCD screen af ter you turn on yo ur camera. 4. Once the ex ternal memory card is inserted in to the camera all the im ages taken with the camera w ill be stored on the car d.
8 St arting Y our Digital Camera Power on Press the Power button on the top of the ca m era to turn on your cam era. The LCD will ligh t up indicatin g t hat your camera i s on and re ady for use. Power off Press the Power button to turn of f y our camera.
9 2. Press the MOD E button to toggle betwee n the 3 modes. 3. The Ca mera mode will have an icon in the top left corne r of the LCD screen. The Vide o mode w ill have an icon and the Playbac k mode a icon w ill appear in the top left corner o f the screen.

11 1. Slide the Macro/ Far switch on the side of the c amera to the position . 2. The icon w ill appear on the LCD screen to indicate that the f ar shoo ting function is on . Flash In low light condition s it is best to use the built-in flash. Y ou c an also use the flash to compensate f or backlight condit ions.
12 If t he f lash is not ready , a red LED will light up and the icon will flash repeatedly- wait until t he flash is ready be fore taking a phot o. Note: A “ low battery ” warning will appear on the LCD screen if there is insufficient battery pow er to operate the flash .
13 3. Press the Left/Right button to choose “Y es” to delete the photo or “No” to cancel the delete. 4. Press the MENU but ton to confirm. If you selected Y es, t he last image is deleted. Each setting will be explained in it s own section below .

Self-Timer Y ou can include yourself in a photo by using this feature to delay the time betw een you pressing the Shutter button and w hen the photo is actually taken.

Qual ity The quality of your photos also affect s the number of shots you can take. A HIGH setting means you can take fewer ph otos, but they will be of better quality .

25 On selecting “On” the date will appe ar on the photo once it i s taken. On selecting “Of f” no date w ill appea r on the photo. On s electing “Set Da te” the Set Date settings screen w ill appear . Y ou will be able to change the date settings that will a ppear on the photo once it is taken.
26 4. P ress the MENU but ton to confirm, save the cha nges and exit. Auto Power O ff By default, if your camera is idle for 60 seconds it will automatically be power ed off. Use the Auto Powe r Off option to change this setting: 1. Press the Up/Dow n button to select the Auto Power O ff option in Set up menu.

34 Full screen to Thumbnail display When the ca m era is in the Playback Mode and an image appears on the LCD screen: 1. Press the W button . 2. This will open up the thumbnail display . 3. Press the Up/Dow n/Left/Right butt ons and select a thumbnail o f a photo or video .
35 Select the photo you wish to rotate , protect, dele te, crop or print . Rotate The rotate feature will only wo rk for images on the SD card that is inserted. 1. Press the MENU but ton. 2. Press the Right/Lef t button to sele ct t he rotate option .

37 4. Press the MENU but ton. 5. If you select Loc k, a lock icon w il l appear at the top of t he LCD f or the photo or video sele cted. Note: T o “Unlock” the current file follow steps 1 through 4. Select “ Unlock ” an d press the MENU but ton to unlock the curren t file.
38 3. Press the Up/Dow n button to select “ This Image ” (if the image is a photo) or “ This Video ” (if the image i s a video) to delete the current photo or video yo u selected. Select the “All” option to delete all unprotect ed images. Pres s Cancel to exit the Delete option if you do not wish to delete an ything at this stage.
39 Crop Image Crop your photos to show and save a specific portion of an i m age or to highlight c ertain focal point s. The Crop feature let s you zoom in on a n image and then sav e that part of t he image a s a new photo. Note: Only pho tos on the SD Card can be cropped.
40 8. Press the Shutter bu tton for the crop confir mation icons to appear or press the MENU button to ex it. 9. Press the Shu tt er button to confirm and save the crop or press the MENU bu tt on to ex it. 10. A Saving screen appears before th e cropped photo is saved as a new photo to your camera`s memory card .
41 6. A message w ill appear on the LCD to “P lease connect t o device ” . 7. Connect your camera to a compatib le printer with the USB cable pro vided to begin printing. 8. Press the MENU but ton to exit if you do not want to print. Playing the A VI video file 1.

45 4. If you do no t have internet acce ss at the time of inserting the CD-ROM, connect to the internet and then click the “ Install Vivi tar Experience Imag e Manager” button to be gin the instal lation Note: If you do no t have internet a cc ess, yo u can still downloa d m edia from the camera.
46 On PC: C lick the “I Agree” button to c ontinue. On Macintosh: Click the “I accept t he terms of this license agreement” and then click “Next” t o continue. 10. On P C only : L et the “Vivi tar Experience Imag e Manager” insta ller create the folder to where the program will be installed, and then clic k “Install”.
47 Get photos and videos fro m your camera to your computer An SD card ne eds to be inserted. Do not disconne ct the cable during transfer . Doing so will can cel the transfer of any files on their way to your c omputer . 1. Select the “Get image s” button from the Main menu.
48 4. Select your ca m era (removab le disk) from the device w indow . I f your camera is the only USB device connected then it will be selected automatically . 5. Select a location on the computer w here to place the new photo and video files. 6. Add the new photo and video files to albu ms if desired.
