34 34 USING YOUR S WITCH To start the upd ate process , you must run th e AutoUpd ate applicati on by selecting “A utoUpdate .ex e” from th e start men u, or a desktop sh ortcut. The first scr een of th e AutoUpd ate applicati on will prompt the user to select an automati c or man ual upd ate .
35 USING YOUR S WITCH Updating Devices via the W eb When you start th e AutoUpd ate applicati on, it search es your computer for devi ces that support the upd ate process . It also autom atically conn ects to the W eb and search es for available upd ates for th e devi ces that are foun d.

If the d ownload fails f or any r eason, a dialog bo x will appear with an option to retry the upd ate . If the appli cation has completed su ccessfully , this screen will be displayed.
40 USING YOUR S WITCH Completing the Firmw are Update The Switch n eeds to be power-cycled (or reset) after a su ccessful download , so that it can progr am its intern al componen ts. Th e update process will n ot be complete until th e devi ce has been power-cycled.
