Place the treadmill on a level surface, with at least eight feet of clearance behind it and two feet on each side.

15 15 28 29 29 24 24 24 24 12 12 19 19 19 19 1 1. Make sure that the power cord is unplugged. Orient the Base (28) so the holes for the four Base Pads (19) are on top. Open part bag A. Attach the four Base Pads to the Base with the four 3/4” Tek Screws (24).
7 3. Raise the Uprights (6, 17) to the vertical position. Place the Frame (55) between the Uprights as shown. Feed the Wire Harness (22) into the large round hole in the lower end of the Right Upright (6) and out of the indi- cated hole. Note: It may be helpful to use needlenose pli- ers to pull the end of the Wire Harness out of the hole.
8 5. Hold a Handrail (32) near the Right Upright (6). Feed the Wire Harness (22) into the hole near the lower end of the Handrail and out the hole near the upper end of the Handrail. Note: It may be helpful to use needlenose pliers to pull the end of the Wire Harness out of the hole.
58 17 Knob Spring Collar Pin 10. Press the Latch Housing (58) into the Left Upright (17). Remove the knob from the pin. Make sure that the collar and the spring are on the pin as shown. Insert the pin into the Latch Housing, and tighten the knob back onto the pin.
10 OPERA TION AND ADJUSTMENT THE PRE-LUBRICATED WALKING BELT Your treadmill features a walking belt coated with high- performance lubricant. IMPORTANT: Never apply sil- icone spray or other substances to the walking belt or the walking platform. Such substances will deteriorate the walking belt and cause excessive wear.
1 1 DIAGRAM OF THE CONSOLE Clip Key Speed Control Monitor Displays with the n egativ e (–) ends of the batteries touching the springs. Close the battery cover, push up on the tab, and then push the tab forward as shown. Make sure that the tab locks into place.
12 Insert the key fully into the console. Inserting the key will not turn on the displays. The displays will turn on when the ON/RESET button is pressed or when the walking belt is started. Note: If batteries were just installed, the displays will already be on.
13 HOW TO CHANGE THE INCLINE OF THE TREADMILL To vary the intensity of your exercise, you can change the incline of the treadmill. There are four incline lev- els. Before changing the incline, remove the key and UNPLUG THE POWER CORD. Next, fold the treadmill to the storage position (see HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE on page 14).
14 HOW T O FOLD AND MOVE THE TREADMILL HOW TO FOLD THE TREADMILL FOR STORAGE Unplug the power cord. CAUTION: You must be able to safely lift 20 kg (45 lbs.) to raise, lower, or move the treadmill. 1. Hold the treadmill with your hands in the locations shown at the right.
15 HOW TO LOWER THE TREADMILL FOR USE 1. Hold the upper end of the treadmill with your right hand as shown. Using your left hand, pull the latch knob to the left and hold it. Pivot the treadmill down until the frame is past the latch pin. Slowly release the latch knob.

17 PROBLEM: The walking belt slows when walked on SOLUTION: a. Use only a single-outlet surge suppressor that meets all of the specifications described on page 10. b. If the walking belt is overtightened, treadmill perfor- mance may decrease and the walking belt may be- come damaged.
18 CONDITIONING GUIDELINES The following guidelines will help you to plan your ex- ercise program. For more detailed exercise informa- tion, obtain a reputable book or consult your physician.
19 WORKOUT GUIDELINES Each workout should include the following three parts: A Warm-up Start each workout with 5 to 10 minutes of stretching and light exercise. A proper warm-up increases your body temperature, heart rate, and circulation in prepa- ration for exercise.
