5 Setting the Con trols (Control type 3 only) Starting/Stopping the Dehumidifier NOTE S: ■ Before turni ng on the dehumidi fier , be sure that the bucket is empty and fits all the way i nto the dehumi dif ier .
6 Drai ning the Deh umidifi er Option 1 — Remove Buck et If a floor drain is not available, or you do not plan to run your dehumi difier c ontinu ously , you may want to si mply emp ty th e bucket. 1. Use fr on t ha ndle to slid e bu cket out . 2. Use front and back ha ndles to lif t bucket.
7 3. Attach a garden hose to drain hose c onnector on t he inside of the de humid ifie r . Hand tight en. 4. Place the oth er end of garden hose into a floor dr ain. Check to see that the hose lie s flat and is in the drain. 5. Reinst all bucket. NOTE S: ■ T o use the bucket without the garden hos e, remove the garden hose.
