7 Start The ST ART pad begins any functi on. If non-sensor cooking is interrupted, touching ST ART will r esume the preset cycle. T ouching ST ART will not resume an interrupted sensor cycle.
8 MICROWAVE OVEN USE A magnetron in the microwave oven pr oduces microwaves which reflect of f the metal floor , walls and ceilin g and pass through the turntable and appr opriate cookware to the food.
9 Cookwar e and Dinn erware Cookware and dinnerware must fit on the turntable. Always use oven mitts or pot hold ers when handling because any dish may become hot fr om heat transferr ed from the food. Do not use cookware and dinnerware with gold or silver trim.
10 Manual Cook ing To U s e : 1. Place food on the turntable and close the door . 2. T ouch COOK TIME. “ST AGE 1 ENTER COOK TIME” will scroll acr oss display . Enter the length of t ime to cook. If cooking with 100% power , skip Step 3. 3. T ouch COOK POWER, then set the desired cooking power .
11 Sensor Cook The sensor in the microwave oven detects humidity released from the food and automatically se ts a cooking time based on the selected food category . Use the following chart as a guide. NOTE: When covering foods, make su re the vent opening is lar ge enough for the moisture to escape.
12 Defro stin g The Auto Defr ost featur e’ s pr eset pr ograms can be used or the microwave oven can be manually set to defrost. ■ Unwrap foods and remove lids (for example, from fruit juice containers) before defr osting. ■ Shallow packages will defrost more quickly than deep blocks.
