Getting S tarted English 8 Sealed Gas Burner s The cooktop has sealed gas burner s. As a result, there are no part s under the cooktop to clean, disassembl e or adjust. S pills stay on top of the cooktop where they are easier to wipe up. Burner Cap s The cooktop has four bur ner cap s.
Getting S tarted English 9 burner cap. Bur ner grates should rest flat on the cooktop. The rubber feet on the grates should rest in the indent s on the cooktop. Models with Glass Cer amic Cooktop: There are four burner grates: one for each bur ner . Position them so that the circula r opening is over the burne r cap.
Getting S tarted English 10 The locating pins on the outside e dges of the cooktop fit into notches on the bot- tom of the grates. Burner grates should rest fla t on the cooktop . When properly po sitioned, th e grates will be level and will not move back and forth.
Getting S tarted English 1 1 3. Bring rack to a horizont al position and press the rest of the way in. Rack should be str aight and f lat, not croo ked. Removing Flat Racks From Oven 1. Grasp rack firmly on both sides and pull rack toward you. 2. When the stop is reached, tilt ra ck up and pull the re st of the way out.
Getting S tarted English 12 2. Rotate o ne side of top rack towar ds you until it is past the stop (ball). 3. Pull the rack up and out, rotated side first. Reassembly CAUTION: Always verify that top rack is in stalled correctly after reassemb ly . The back edges of the top rack must be under the r ack guide on the bottom rack.
Getting S tarted English 13 Ti p : The removable section can also be used out side of the oven as a trivet or cooling rack. Oven Bottom CAUTION: Do not place food directly on oven bottom. Do no t use aluminum foil or protective liners to line any p art of an appliance, especi ally surface unit drip bowls or oven bottom.
Getting S tarted English 14 area may be warm when the oven is in use. Do not block the vent as it is impor- tant for air circulation. Automatic Shut off The oven will automatically shut off af ter 12 hours (24 hours if the time format is set for 24 hour in the Select Fun ction section).
Getting S tarted English 15 Control (Panel) Oven Control Panel Y ou control the operation of the ra nge by using the touch pads, dial and control knobs. The touchp ads, in conjunct ion with the dial, are used to select an oven mode, set the oven temperature, set the time(s) and to set up your r ange.

The Clock About the Clock • Always set the clock after inst allation or af ter a power failure. Once power returns to the oven, the cloc k defaults to 12: 00 am.

Operation - Oven English 25 Setting the Probe 1. Prepar e meat and place in roasting p an (or on ra ck in roasting p an as recipe specifies). Insert the probe into the meat. See “Inserting the Probe” on page 31 for det ailed instructions. Make su re the probe is not touching gris- tle, fat, bone, the roast rack o r the pan.
