Chapter 2 20 Hand ling an d us ing s pecia l pape r 2 The machine is designed to work well with most types of xerogra phic a nd bond paper. Howeve r, s o me paper variables may have an effect on print quality or handling reliability. Always test sam ples of pa per before purchasin g to en sure des irable pe rformance.
Loadi ng paper 21 2 Envelopes 2 Most envelopes designed f or laser prin ters will be suit a ble for your m achi ne. However, some env elopes m ay h ave f eed and print - quality prob lem s becau se of the way they have been made. A suitable envelo pe shoul d have edges with straight, well-creased f olds.
Chapter 2 22 Labels 2 The ma chine will print on most types of labels designed f or use w ith a las er machine. Labels should hav e an a dhesive that is acrylic-based since this material is more stable at the high temperatu res in the fuser unit. Adhesives should n ot come in contac t with any p art of the machine.
23 3 3 How to load documents 3 You can copy and scan from the ADF (automat ic do cument feeder) or the sc anne r glass. Us in g the aut oma tic do cu men t f eeder ( ADF ) 3 The AD F can hold up to 35 pages (for DCP-811 0DN) or up t o 50 pages (f o r DCP-815 0DN a nd DCP-81 55DN) and feed s each shee t individually.
