Chapter 7 40 The third way is the easiest: Buy a t riplex adapter. Y ou can plug a t ri plex adapter i nto an RJ14 outlet. It s eparates the wir es into two separate RJ11 jack s (Line 1, Line 2) and a third RJ14 jack (Lines 1 and 2). If your machine is on Line 1, plug the machine into L1 of the triplex adapter.
Telephon e Service s and Exte rnal device s 41 7 Mu lti-lin e conn ections (PBX) 7 W e sug gest you ask t h e com pany who installed you r PBX to c onnect your m achine. If you have a multi lin e syst em we suggest you ask the installer to connect the unit to the last l ine o n the system.
