2 2 Connect the han d set (MFC-790CW on ly) a Connect t he curled handset cord to the handset. 3 Load plai n Letter /A4 pap er a Pull t he paper tray a complet ely out of the machine. b Open the pape r tray cover a . c With both hands, gently press and slide the paper side guid es a and then the paper len gth guide b to fit the paper s ize.
3 d Fan the stack of paper well to avoid pape r jams and misfeeds. e Gently put the paper into the paper tray print side down and t op edg e first. Check that t he paper is f lat in the tray. f Gently adjust the paper side guides to the paper with both hands.

Connect one end of the tele phone li n e cord to the jack on the machine m arked LI NE a nd the other end t o a mod ular w all jack .
