5 Safety of children • P ackaging (e.g. wraps, polystyr ene) can be dangerous for childr en. There is a risk of suffocation! K eep packaging material away from children! • Please make old appliances unusable prior to disposal. Pull out the mains plug, cut off the mains cable, break or r emove spring or bolt catches, if fitted.
6 Disposal Appliance P ackaging Information All materials are envir onmentally friendly . They can be dumped or burned at an incinerating plant without danger . About the materials: The plastics can be recycled and ar e identified as follows: >PE< for polyethylene, e.
7 Y ou can remove any r emnants of adhesive using white spirit. Remove all adhesive tape and packing pieces from the interior of the appliance. Installation Installation Location The appliance should be set up in a well ventilated, dry room. Energy use is affected by the ambient temper ature.
8 Grid pr eparation The side at which the door opens can be changed from the right side (as supplied) to the left side, if the installation site requir es. Warning! When changing the side at which the door opens, r emove plug from the mains. Left door opening: Remove the left side (A) of the grid cutting it from the r ear (see figure).
9 Reversing the door The side at which the door opens can be changed from the right side (as supplied) to the left side, if the installation site requir es.

Push the appliance into place. The plug socket nec- essary for connection of the appliance to the elec- tricity supply should be positioned, so that the plug is not placed in the recess. To adjust the height pr o- ceed as follows: Loosen or tighten the two front feet.

16 Fitting the plinth Important! For the efficient operation of the appliance, it is important that the original ventilation grid is used. • For an opening height dimension A=820 mm and a plinth height dimension a=1 00 mm, the plinth may be fitted without adjustments.

19 Starting up and temper ature r egulation Connect the appliance to the mains electricity supply . When the refriger ator compartment door is opened, the internal light- ing is switched on. The temperatur e selector knob is located on the right hand side of the refriger ator compartment.
Defr osting The fridge defr osts automatically The rear wall of the fridge cover s with frost when the compr essor is running, and defrosts when the compr essor is off. The water from the thawing frost evapor ates by itself. 20 Interior Accessories Stor age shelves Various glass stor age shelves are included with your appliance.
Switching off the appliance To switch off the appliance, turn the temper ature r egulator to positi on "0". If the appliance is not going to be u sed for an extended period: Remove all refriger ated packages. Switch off the appliance by turning the thermostat knob to position "0".
22 Clean the appliance and the interior accessories with a cloth and lukewarm water . Commercially available dish washing detergents may also be used. ☞ After cleaning wipe with fresh water and rub dry . An accumulation of dust will affect the performance of the appliance and cause excessive electricity consumption.

24 Symptom P ossible Cau se The food is too warm. Temper ature is not properly adjusted. Please look in the “Initial Start Up” section. Remedy Heavy build up of frost, possibly also on the door seal. Door was open for an extended period. A large quantity of warm food was placed in the appliance within the last 24 hours.

26 Noises during Oper ation The following noises are char acteristic of refriger ation appliances: • Clicks Whenever the compr essor switches on or off, a click can be heard. • Humming As soon as the compressor is in oper ation, you can hear it humming.
