Tips for envir onmental pr otection • Lightly soiled laundry may be washed without pr ewashing in or der to save deter gent, water and time (the envir onment is pr otected too!). • The machine works mor e economically if it is fully loaded. • When small loads ar e washed, use only half to two thir ds of the rec- ommended amount of deter gent.

The laundry should be sorted out accor ding to the type of fab- ric and the instructions indicated on car e labels. T emper atur es indicated on labels ar e always maximum temper atur es.
Delicates Micr ofibr es, synthetics or curtains marked with these symbols r equir e a particularly delicate tr eatment. The DELICA TES pr ogr amme (HASSAS ÇAMA Ç IRLAR) is suitable for this type of fabric.
Deter gents and additives Which deter gent and additive? Use only deter gents and additives for washing machines. Follow the manufactur er’ s instructions.
How to wash Load the laundry Open the door . Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time. Distribute laundry as evenly as possible. Close the door . Add deter gent and additive Pull the dr awer out till it stops. P our the main wash deter gent into compart- ment .
Select the r equir ed option Pr ess the button(s) accor ding to the selected pr ogr amme. Start the pr ogr amme Pr ess the ON/OFF (AÇMA KAP AMA) button: the mains-on light comes on and the pr ogr amme starts. End of the pr ogr amme The machine stops automatically .

58 Consumption data and dur ation of main pr ogr ammes The values shown in the chart have been obtained in labor atory tests and have been estimated at a water supply temper ature of 15°C. They may vary when the appliance is used at home, but they can be used as indicative values.
Cleaning and maintenance After each wash At the end of the wash pr ogr amme, pull the dispenser dr awer out a lit- tle to let it dry . Leave the door ajar to allow air to cir culate. If the machine is not used for a pr olonged period: Close the water tap(s) and unplug the appliance.
60 Cleaning and maintenance Dr ain filter The dr ain filter collects thr eads and small objects inadvertently left in the laundry . Check r egularly that the filter is clean. Open the filter door . Place a container under the filter and unscr ew it; some water will come out of the filter .
Emer gency emptying out If the water is not dischar ged (pump is blocked, filter or dr ain hose ar e clogged), pr oceed as follows to empty out the machine: • pull out the plug fr om the power socke.
Something not working? If, during the spin cycle, the machine makes an unusual whistling noise, differ ent fr om the noise made by tr aditional washing machines, this is due to a new type of motor . If water is not visible in the drum, this is due to the modern technology of new washing machines that use less water than tr aditional machines.

Instructions for installation and electrical connection Safety instructions • When unpacking the appliance, check that it is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use it and contact the r etailer . • All internal packing must be r emoved befor e using the appliance.

Installation Unpacking All transit bolts and packing must be r emoved before using the appliance. Using a spanner , unscrew and r emove the r ear right-hand bolt and lay the machine on its back, taking car e not to squash the hoses. This can be avoided by placing one of the corner packing pieces between the machine and the floor .
P ositioning Install the machine on a flat har d floor . Make sur e that air cir culation ar ound the machine is not impeded by carpets, rugs etc. Check that the machine does not touch the wall or other kitchen units. • The floor surface must be clean and dry , without any wax or polish r esidue to avoid any possibility of sliding.
W ater inlet The appliance has two inlet hoses, hot and cold. The inlets on the back of the appli- ance ar e colour coded, blue for cold and r ed for hot. Connect the water inlet hoses to separ ate taps for cold and hot water with a 3/4" thr ead after having inserted the small filter s “ A” supplied with the machine.
Dir ectly into a dr ain pipe at a height of not less than 60 cm and not mor e than 90 cm. The end of the dr ain hose must always be ventilated , i.e. the inside diameter of the dr ain pipe must be lar ger than the outside diameter of the dr ain hose. The dr ain hose must not be kinked.
