4 Setting up This section provides information on connecting your DRX-701ES to y our hi-fi and connecting y our aerial. Before connecting other devices to y our DRX-701ES, switch both de vices off. This helps prevent electrical charg e damage. Y ou may also want to peel off the protectiv e film from the LCD panel at this stage.
5 Switching on and off Before switching on for the first time, check all connections and ensure that the volume on y our amplifier is low . Push the Power button to s witch the unit on or off. The Power LED and LCD screen will light up w hen the unit is on.
6 Changing the display mode The DRX-701ES has se ven displa y modes which enable y ou to view different elements of the broadcast data on the bottom line of the displa y . Press the Display button and repeat to cycle through the se ven different displa y modes.
7 Advanc ed setup options The DRX-701ES has a number of ad v anced features which enable y ou to chang e the order and number of stations on the station list, use a tuning aid, apply Dynamic Range Control (DRC) and view and update the software v ersion.
