6 Op e r a t i n g In s t ruction s Y ou can use your ne w all electric wall oven in f our cooking modes; bak e , conv ection bake, convection r oast, and broil. On double models, both ov ens can be used for cooking at the same time in any specified cooking mode or modes and you can use up to six o ven racks in each ov en.
7 BAKE – in standard Bak e mode, the bak e element is on continuously (when temperature is belo w set level) and the outer br oil element is pulsed on and off (when temperature is belo w set level).
8 Op e r a t i n g In s t ruction s ( B ake ) BAKE: The Bak e mode uses hot air ; there is no fan. The air mov ement comes from natural con vection, as the air heats, it moves to the top of the o ven. This ov en mode is still the best over all time tested standar d for the most desir ed baking results.
9 Op e r a t i n g In s t ruction s ( B ake ) During Preheating f or Bake : The hidden bak e , hidden conv ection, and outer br oil elements will operate as will the conv ection motor . After pr eheat only the outer br oil and hidden bake elements ar e used.
10 CONVECTION BAKE: Conv ection Bake uses the fan at the back of the o ven for cir culating the hot air in a continuous pattern ar ound the food for mor e precise baking.
11 Op e r a t i n g In s t ruction s ( Convection B ake ) Selecting Utensils for Con vection Bak e: Cooking by con vection does not requir e any specially designed baking utensil. How ever , consider the material, the size and the shape as they will all aff ect the baking time , the palatability and the appearance of the finished pr oduct.
12 Op e r a t i n g In s t ruction s ( Convection Roa s t ) USING THE CONVECTION RO AST : Conv ection Roast uses the broil and con vection heating elements. 1. Pr ess upper or lower Con v . Roast . Press the n umber ke ys to set a convection r oast temperature fr om 100 ° F to 550 ° F.
13 Op e r a t i n g In s t ruction s ( B roil ) BROIL: Br oiling is cooking by intense infrared heat supplied by the inner and outer br oil elements. It is an extremely tasty wa y to prepare fatty type f oods and healthier than fr ying. F oods suitable for Br oiling: - Appetizers - Meats, marinated meats, steaks.
14 T O SET TIMER 1 OR TIMER 2: Note: Timer 1 and Timer 2 do not turn the ov en on and off , they are simply timers . Their function is to aler t you that the specified time has lapsed. T o turn an ov en On and Off you must use the Clock . See the Timed Cooking and Dela y ed Timed Cooking section of this man ual.
15 Op e r a t i n g In s t ruction s ( Food P rob e ) USING THE FOOD PROBE: Y ou ma y use the food pr obe in the upper ov en only to cook to the internal temperature of a f ood product, for mor e precise cooking. 1. Insert the tip of the food pr obe into the food.
16 Op e r a t i n g In s t ruction s ( T imed Cooking ) USING THE TIMED COOKING Y ou can set the cooking time for the follo wing modes: Bak e , Conv ection Bake, or Convection Roast.
17 Op e r a t i n g In s t r u c t i o n s (C h i l d S a f e t y & U s e r Op t i o n s) USER OPTION CHILD SAFETY MODE This mode will not allo w heating in either o ven . Only the Clock, Timer 1 and Timer 2 will operate. This mode does not lock the doors.
18 Ca re and Maintenance O VEN DOOR REMO V AL: In the ev ent the oven door comes off track, or becomes misaligned, realignment can be achie ved by f ollowing this simple procedur e: Open the door and hold it all the wa y open. Close the hinge latches.
19 Ca re and Maintenance Harsh Cleaners which are commer cial ov en cleaners, such as Easy Off ® or Dow ® can be used on the racks, but are not recommended f or use on the oven interiors. Additionally , some commer cial oven cleaners cause dark ening and discoloration.
20 Ca re and Maintenance Cleaning Y ou r Ov e n T O CLEAN THE CONTROL P ANEL: Use paper tow els dampened with warm soap y water or glass cleaner spra yed onto a tow el or sponge to carefull y wipe the control panel clean. Do not spra y any cleaning solutions dir ectly on the control panel or displa y window .
21 SELF CLEAN MODE: When the ov en is set to the Clean mode , the ov en temperature will r each 850 ° F . This high temperature will cause food grime to burn off and disintegrate to ash which is easily wiped clean afterwar ds. W ARNING : Do not leave the food pr obe in the upper oven during the self cleaning as the probe will be destr oy ed.
