14 099570 CONNECTING T O GAS SUPPL Y NOTICE A qualified service person must connect heater to gas supply. Follow all local codes. WARNING ICON G 001 W ARNING Never connect heater to private (non-utility) gas well. This gas is commonly known as well-head gas.

Figure 21 shows an incorrect pilot flame pattern. The incorrect pilot flame is not touching the thermocouple.
