INSTALLATION • This appliance is heavy. Care should be taken when moving it. • When unpacking the appliance, check that it is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use it and contact the Service Centre. • All packing and transit bolts must be re- moved before use.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Your new appliance meets all modern requir ements for effective treatment of laundry with low water, energy and detergent consumption. Its new washing system allows to- tal use of detergent and reduces wa ter consumption so saving energy.
CONTROL PANEL Below is a picture of the control panel. It shows th e programme sel ector dial as well as the buttons, pilot light and the display. These are presen ted by relevant numbers on the following pages.
EXTRA RINSE This appliance is desi gned to save energy. If it necessary to rinse the laundry using an extra quantity of water (extra rinse), select this option. Some additional rinses will be performed. This option is recommended for people who are allergic to detergents, and in areas where the water is very soft.
DAILY USE Load the laundry Open the door by care fully pulling the door handle outwards. Place the laundry in the drum, one item at a time, shaking them out as much as possible. Close the door. Make sure that no laundry stays between the seal and the door.
SELECT THE TEMPERATURE BY PRESSING BUTTON 2 By selecting a programme, the appliance proposes automatically a default tempera- ture. Press this button rep eatedly to increase or decrease the temperature, if you want your laundry to be washed at a different temper- ature.

Stand by : once the programme has finish- ed after a few minutes the energy saving system will be enabled. The brightness of the display is reduced. By pressing any but- ton the appliance will come out of the ener- gy saving status.
Your appliance incorpor ates a recirculation system which allows an optimal use of the concentrated detergent. Follow the product manufacturer’s recom- mendations on quanti ties to use and do not exceed the «MAX» mark in the de- tergent dispenser drawer .

open after a wash will also help to preserve the door seal. MAINTENANCE WASH With the use of low temperature washes it is possible to get a build up of residues in- side the drum. We recommend that a maintenance wash be performed on a regular basis. To run a maintenance wash: • The drum should be empty of laundry.
DRAIN PUMP The pump sh ould be inspected regularly and particularly if: • the appliance does not empty and/or spin; • the appliance makes an unus ual noise during draining due to objects such as safety pins, coins etc. blocking the pump; • a problem with water draining is detected (see chapter “What to do if.

Important! Every time you drain the water through the emergency emptying hose you must pour 2 litres of water int o the main wash compartment of the detergent drawer and then run th e drai n programme. This will activate t he ECO Valve device avoiding that part of the de tergent remain s unused at next washing.

The drain filter is clogged. • Clean the drain filter. An option or a programme that ends with the water still in the tub or a that eliminates all th e spinning phases has been selected.

RAISING THE APPLIANCE Suspended wooden floors are particularly susceptible to vibration. To help prevent vibration we recommend you place a waterproof wood panel, at least 15 mm thick under the appliance, secured to at least 2 floor beams with screws, the wood panel must extend beyond the front feet.
Warning! Installation should comply with local water authority and building re gulations’ requirements. The appliance must be connected to a cold water supply. A minimum water pressure of 0.05 MPa (0.5 bar) is required for safe oper- ation of the appliance.

Loop Important! Before connecting up the machine to new pipework or to pipework that has not been used for some time, run off a reasonable amount of water to flush out any debris that may have collected in the pipes.
