7 Setting Surface Controls 1. Place the pan on the surface element. 2. Push in and turn the surface element control knob to desired setting. 3. The surface signal light will glow when one or more elements are turned on. Always turn the element off before removing the pan.
8 Setting Surface Controls Models with Ceramic Glass Cooktop Model B shown Only - Figure 2 About the Ceramic Glass Cooktop The ceramic cooktop has radiant surface elements located below the surface of the glass. The design of the ceramic cooktop outlines the area of the surface element underneath.

10 Setting Surface Controls The Electronic Surface Element Control (ESEC) (some models) Hot Surface Indicator Lights After using any of the radiant element positions the cooktop will become very hot. After turning any of these elements OFF, the cooktop will remain HOT for some time.

12 Models with Ceramic Glass Cooktop (continued) Operating the Bridge Surface Radiant Element (Models with Ceramic Glass Cooktop Only) Radiant surface elements may appear to have cooled after they have been turned off. A hot surface indicator light will come on and will continue to glow until the glass cooktop has cooled down to a moderate level.
13 Surface Cooking (Continued) Figure 2 Selecting Surface Cooking Cookware Cookware should have flat bottoms that make good contact with the entire surface heating element. Check for flatness by rotating a ruler across the bottom of the cookware (See Figure 1).
14 Before Setting Oven Controls Refer to the Electronic Oven Control Guide for oven settings. Setting Oven Controls 4 3 2 1 Removing and Replacing Oven Racks To remove , pull the rack forward until it stops. Lift up front of rack and slide out. To replace , fit the rack onto the guides on the oven walls.
15 Arranging Warmer (W arm & Ready™) Drawer Rac k P ositions The rack can be used in 2 ways: • In the upright position to allow low profile food items to be placed both under and on top of the rack (for example, rolls or biscuits on top of the rack and a casserole dish underneath).
16 Cooking Informations Oven Baking F or best cooking results, heat the oven bef ore baking cookies, breads, cakes , pies or pastr ies, etc... There is no need to preheat the oven for roasting meat or baking casseroles. The cooking times and temperatures needed to bake a product may vary slightly from your previously owned appliance.
17 Cooking Informations Broiling Broiling is a method of cooking tender cuts of meat by direct heat under the broil element of the oven. Preheating Preheating is suggested when searing rare steaks. (Remove the broiler pan before preheating. Foods will stic k if placed on hot metal.

19 Be careful not to bend terminal ends when replacing elements after cleaning. Care & Cleaning (Cleaning Chart) Oven racks should be removed, or else their finish will dull and their color turn slightly blue.
20 A rod swings up to support the top for cleaning underneath. Cooktop Cleaning- Coil Surface Element Models Only (Continued) T o Raise the T op for Cleaning (some models) 1. Grasp the sides and lift from the front. A lift-up rod will suppor t the top in its raised position.
21 Care & Cleaning Models with Ceramic Glass Cooktop Ceramic Glass Cooktop Cleaning & Maintenance Consistent and proper cleaning is essential to maintaining your Ceramic glass cooktop Prior to using your cooktop f or the first time, apply the recommended CERAMA BR YTE® Cleaning Creme to the ceramic surface .
22 Oven Cleaning Cleaning the Regular Oven (non self-clean oven, some models) Make sure the oven is cool and that all control knobs are et OFF position. Cleaning the oven is a lot easier when the door is removed. 1 . Remov e the ov en door ; see under T o Remove and Replace the Ov en Door in this Owner's Guide.
23 Care & Cleaning Oven Cleaning (Continued) Cleaning the Self-Clean Oven (some models) Adhere to the following cleaning precautions: - Allow the oven to cool before cleaning. - W ear r ubber glo ves when cleaning an y exterior par ts of the ov en manually .
24 Changing Oven Light Be sure the ov en is unplugged and all par ts are COOL before replacing the ov en light bulb . Do not tur n the oven light on during the self-cleaning cycle. High temperature will reduce lamp life. The interior oven light will turn on automatically when the oven door is opened.
25 Adjusting Y our Oven T emperature For instructions on how to adjust the oven temperature refer to the electronic oven control guide. Care & Cleaning Storage Drawer with extensible glides (some models) T o remove W armer Drawer: 1. Open the drawer to the fully opened position.

Adjust le veling legs at base of range until the rac k is lev el. When range is le vel, cooktop ma y appear out of alignment if counter top is not lev el.
