2 Safety and warnings W ARNING! Electrical Shock Hazard Alway s disconnect the cooker from the mains electricity supply before carrying out any maintenance operations or r epairs.
3 The switch must always be ac cessible. The power supply c able must not touch any hot parts and must be positioned so that it does not exc eed 75 O C at any point. T o connect the cook er to the mains, do not use adapters, reduc ers or branching devices as they can cause o verheating and burning.
4 Operation Y our freestanding cooker has been carefully designed to operate saf ely during normal cook ing procedures . Please keep the following guidelines in mind when you are using it: Safety and warnings W ARNING! Hot Sur face Hazard Acc essible par ts may become hot when this cooker is in use .
5 Safety and warnings Impor tant safety precautions Isolating switch: make sure this c ooker is connected to a circuit which inc orporates an isolating switch providing full disconnection from the power supply . Household appliances are not intended to be played with by children.
6 750 mm 500 mm 105 mm 450 mm Clearances Installation clearances and protection of combustible surfaces shall comply with the current local regulations eg. A G 601 (AS 5601) Gas I nstallations code. Installation shall comply with the dimension in Fig .
7 Installation instructions Lev elling the cooker T o fit the adjustable feet: Place the cooker on its back as shown. Screw the four f eet to the cooker . 9 Installation instructions Gas supply The gas connection must be carried out by an authorised person accor ding to the relevant standards. Before c onnecting the appliance to the gas main, mount the brass conical adaptor onto the gas inlet pipe, upon which the gasket has been placed (see F ig.
10 Installation instructions After installing the freestanding cooker and connecting the gas supply: 1 Using a suitable leak detection fluid solution (e.g. Roc ol) check each gas connection one at a time by brushing the solution over the c onnection. The presence of bubbles will indicat e a leak.
11 Installation instructions Con ver ting to a differ ent gas type This appliance is suitable for use with Natural gas or LPG gas (check the “ gas t ype” sticker attached to the appliance). T o conv er t from one gas type to another , you need to replace the injectors, and then adjust the minimum burning setting.
12 Installation instructions Adjusting the minimum burner setting Check whether the flame spreads to all burner ports when the burner is lit with the gas tap set to the minimum position. If some por ts do not light, increase the minimum gas rate setting .

14 Using y our oven f or the rst time Fig . 11 Control panel Before using y our new oven, please: 1 Read this user guide, taking special note of the ‘Safety and warnings’ section. 2 Remove all acc essories and packaging. 3 Condition the oven: Slide in the shelves and grill pan as shown.
15 Using y our oven 1 Select the func tion using the function knob. The oven light will come on. 2 Select the temperature using the temperature control knob. The ov en temperature indicator light, above the temperatur e knob on the control panel, will glow until the ov en has reached the set temperature, and then it will go out.
16 Cooking functions OVEN LAMP Only the oven light comes on. It remains on in all the cooking functions. BAKE The upper and lower heating elements c ome on. BAKE is the traditional method of cooking. It is best to cook on only one shelf at a time in this function.

Make sure all controls ar e turned off . Lighting the cooktop 1 Choose the control knob for the burner you want to use .
19 If the cooktop does not light If the cooktop does not light, check that: The cooktop is plugged in and the electricity is switched on. The gas is turned on. The ignitors ar e sparking. If the ignitors are not sparking, they may be dirty or wet. Clean them with a toothbrush and methylated spirits , as shown.

21 Cookt op troubleshooting Problem Possible solutions My cooktop burners do not light. Check the cooker is switched on. Check the gas supply valve is turned on and the supply to the house is working. Y ou should hear the gas when you turn a burner on.
22 Car e and cleaning Impor tant! Before you start cleaning your cooker , please: Read these cleaning instructions and the ‘Safet y and warnings ’ sec tion at the start of this user guide. T urn the cooker off at the w all. Make sure the c ooker is a safe temperature to touch.
23 Car e and cleaning Cap Ignitor Flame spreader Burner parts and pan suppor ts Y ou can remove and clean these parts with hot soapy water or non-abrasive detergents. Clean spills regularly befor e they become burnt on. Do not wash these par ts in a dishwasher .
24 Car e and cleaning Replacing the wok burner T o replace the wok burner , fit the burner ring to the housing as shown by the arro w in the Fig. following . M ake sure the burner is not able to r otate. Gas taps If you have pr oblems with the gas taps, call your A uthorised Ser vice Centr e.
25 Car e and cleaning Cleaning the enamel cavity Clean the enamel on the inside of the oven when it has cooled do wn, using household detergents or an ammonia-based cleaner . Y ou may use ‘ off the shelf ’ oven cleaners , if you carefully follo w the manufacturers’ instructions.
26 Car e and cleaning Removing the ov en door The oven door can easily be r emoved as foll ows: Open the door completely . Hook the swivel retainers of the right-hand and left-hand hinges (Fig . 28a) onto the metal bar above them (F ig. 28b). Lift the oven door slightly .
27 Car e and cleaning Replacing the oven lamp Let the ov en cavity and the heating elements cool down. Remove the prot ec tive cov er “B” . Unscrew and replace the bulb “ A ” with a new one suitable for high temperatures (300°C) with the specifications: 230-240V 50 Hz, 15W , E14 Refit the protective cov er “B” .
