I nstallation check list Y our installer MUST have completed and checked the following: The DishDrawer ® is square and level. The DishDrawer ® is fastened securely t o the cabinetr y . Ensure moisture pr otec tion tape has been applied and the cabinet is sealed according to the DishDrawer ® Installation Instruc tions.

Installation This DishDrawer ® must be installed and located in accordance with the Installation I nstructions before it is used . I f you did not receive Installation Instruc tion sheets with your DishDrawer ® , you can order them by calling your Authorized Service Agent.
Operational Impor tant! Under no circumstances should you open the dra wer whilst the DishDrawer ® is in operation. Always press the button to pause and wait until you hear the three additional beeps befor e opening the drawer . The DishDrawer ® must be used with the motor assembly , filter plate, drain filter and spray arm in place.

2 Contr ols (Integrated badge and P refinished models with no LCD ) If you have a double DishDrawer®, each drawer has its own controls and can run independently of the other . P ower button The butt on tur ns the DishDrawer® on or off . Opening the drawer will automatically turn the DishDrawer® on for 30 seconds .
3 Childlock The Childlock feature locks the draw er and disables all the buttons. T o activate, press and hold the / button until you hear two beeps (5 seconds). The light above the / button is lit when Childlock is ac tivated. T o cancel the Childlock feature, press and hold the / button until the light above the / button disappears.
4 L CD screen controls (P refinished models with L CD) If you have a double DishDrawer®, each drawer has its own control panel and can run independently of the other . P ower Button The button turns the DishDrawer® on or off . Opening the drawer will automatically turn the DishDrawer® on for 30 seconds .
5 Childlock The Childlock feature locks the draw er and disables all the buttons on the control panel. T o activate, press and hold the button until you hear two beeps (5 seconds). The symbol appears in the electronic display when the Childlock feature is activated.
6 Operation 1 Load Dishes Remove all food scraps and load the dishes . 2 Add Detergent 3 Check Rinse Agent 4 Press the Button 5 Select a W ash Program The length of the wash program will appear on the electronic display (if applicable). 6 Check Ensure there is nothing obstructing the spray arm.
7 W ash prog ram char t Standard W ash Progr am - when to use Heavy Heavily soiled pots, pans and dishes. Normal Dishes with normal soils for optimum wash and dry per formance. Fa s t Lightly soiled dishes. Delicate Lightly soiled and heat sensitive crockery.
8 Caring for y our dinner ware The combination of high temperatures and dishwasher detergent ma y cause damage to some items if they are washed in the DishDrawer®. Remember , if in any doubt about any aspect concerning items washed in the DishDrawer®, follow the instructions from the manufacturer of the items, or wash the item by hand.
9 Dishwasher standar ds test The DishDrawer®s are test ed to various standards for both wash and dr y per formance. The following ar e loading pattern diagrams, detergent and rinse agent quantities used for the DishDrawer®.
10 Accessories The inser ts and racks can be added or removed to suit your individual needs. If you have the double DishDrawer® model, some of the accessories are interchangeable between the two drawers.
11 Cup R ac ks Cups, glasses and kitchen utensils can be placed on the left and right hand side of the cup racks. F or best per f or mance ensure there are no lar ge items below , block ing the wash water from reaching the cup racks. Wine glasses can be supported on the cup racks if used in conjunction with the Mega R ack .
12 Lo a d i n g W ash water for the DishDrawer® comes fr om the spray ar m which is situated inside the base of the drawer . The spray arm rotates, providing wash water to all areas of the wash compa.
13 How NO T to load your DishDrawer® figure 1 - overcr owding Overcrowded and wash water will not reach some of the dinnerware. Cups, glasses and bowls must have their openings facing downwards . figure 2 - nesting figure 3 figures 4 & 5 The plates are nesting together and wash water may not get through.
14 Detergent dispenser Impor tant! Only use powdered detergent r ecommended for domestic automatic dishwashers in the detergent dispenser . Never sprinkle or pour detergent directly onto any item in the DishDra wer®. T ablets and liquid detergents are not suitable to be used in the DishDrawer®.

16 W ater softener (DD603-H, DS603-H models only) Setting up the water softener Using hard water (above 100ppm) for dish washing can be detr imental to the per formance of your DishDrawer®. Glasses will become opaque and dishes will become spotted or covered in a white film.
17 Impor tant! The water softener must always be filled with granular salt made especially for dish washer water softening systems e.g . Somat salt. Do not use of cook ing salt like table, rock, pellets or salt for domestic water softeners as they may contain impurities that will impair or diminish the life of the water softener .
18 Rinse agent dispenser We highly r ecommend the regular use of liquid r inse agent to give the best drying results. Rinse agent gives a streak free, sparkling clean look to glass and chinaware, in addition it prevents metal from tarnishing . The rinse agent dispenser is on the inside of the drawer , located underneath the detergent dispenser .
19 Option adjustments The following options can be adjusted to suit your pref erences. Rinse Agent setting Reduce the Rinse agent setting if there is excess foam after a wash program. Increase the Rinse agent setting if dishes are wet or streaky af ter a wash program.

22 User maintenance instructions Cleaning the outer sur faces F rom time to time the wash program indicator panel and its surrounds need to be cleaned to remove f ood par ticles, hard water scale and any spillages. W e recommend wiping these areas with a clean damp cloth.
23 Cleaning the Drain F ilter , Spray Arm and F ilter Plate We recommend that the drain filter is cleaned whenever there is evidence of food particles. The spray arm and filter plate may need cleaning about once a month in normal use or more often should the need arise.
24 Cleaning the Spray Arm & F ilter plate Ensure the DishDrawer® is cool bef ore you start cleaning and follow the instructions for removing the drain filter and spray arm. 1 Remove the basket carefully . Lif t from the back end first to prevent knock ing the detergent and rinse agent dispenser .

26 Unclean dishes W ash program unsuitable for the load. Refer to the wash prog rams section for a suitable wash program, or the soils were too heavily baked on and dishes may need soaking. Spray arm unable to rotate. Ensure no items ar e obstructing the spray arm path.
27 Fo a m i n g Incorrect amount of detergent. Refer to the detergent section or consult the detergent manufacturer ’ s instructions. T oo much egg in the wash load. Increase the amount of detergent. Rinse agent setting too high. Decrease the rinse agent setting.
28 F ault codes How to Recog nize a F ault Code When a fault has occurred, the DishDrawer® will continuously beep every second. The fault code will be displayed on the electronic display for pr efinished models and on the inside control panel for integrated models .
29 F ault Codes P ossible Causes What to Do F1 Flood switch has been activated. T ur n the water and power supply to the DishDrawer ® off and call your Authorized Service Center. F2 Motor problem. Call your Authorized Service Center . F3 T emperature sensor failed.
30 Limited warranty When you purchase any new F isher & Paykel whiteware P roduct for personal or consumer use you automatically receiv e a two year Limited Warranty covering par ts and labor for ser vicing within the 48 mainland United States, Hawaii, Washingt on D .
31 This warranty does not cover: A Ser vice calls that are not related t o any defect in the P roduct. The cost of a service call will be charged if the problem is not f ound to be a defect of the Pr oduc t. F or example: 1. Correct faulty installation of the Product.
