4 Impor tant safety instructions Storing food and drinks Never store v olatile/flammable materials or solvents in y our appliance as they may explode or adversely react with materials in this appliance . Never freeze liquids in glass c ontainers. Liquid expands during freezing , which may cause the container to explode.
5 Before placing f ood in the compartment Ideally , allow the compartment to run empty overnight, or for at least 5 hours , to allow it to c ool to the appropriate t emperature befor e placing food inside. Clean the inside of the appliance with warm water and a little liquid detergent t o remov e manufacturing and transpor tation dust.
6 Getting star ted quickly Operating instructions Impor tant! Before placing food into the cabinet for the first time, it is important that you ideally , allow the cabinet to run empty overnight, or for at least 5 hours , to allow it to cool to the appropriate temperature before placing food inside.
7 Getting star ted quickly Impor tant! Y our cabinet will default to ‘F reezer mode’ when y ou first turn it on. If you do not wish to use the appliance as a freezer , simply select another option from the other four storage modes display ed on the control panel.
8 Cust omizing the stor age envir onment The CoolDrawer™ has a wide range of operating modes , from a deep freezer , freezer , chiller , fridge, pantry and even a wine cooler . T o change the storage mode: 1 Press and hold the L OCK button for 3 seconds to unlock the control panel .
9 Fr eezer mode The use of temperatures of 0°F / -18 °C or c older to store f ood means that the food can be kept for longer periods than when refrigeration t emperatures are used . This is because the gr owth of bacteria, moulds and yeasts are stopped , and chemical and physical reactions are sev erely restricted at such low temperatures .
10 Additional freez er mode functions Note: Only one F reezer mode function may be operated at an y one time. Bottle Chill This function allows you to rapidly chill y our beverages in the freez er without the worry of forgetting about them. A ctivating Bottle Chill drops the freezer down t o its coldest setting for a 15 minute time period.
11 Additional freez er mode functions T o use the F ast F reeze function: 1 Press and hold the L OCK button for 3 seconds to unlock the control panel . 2 Press the FUNCTION SELEC T button to select F AST FREEZE. F ast F reeze will start automatically.
12 Chill mode The Chill mode sets the compartment at a tempera ture that is ideal for the st orage of highly perishable fresh meats, poultry and fish products. It is ideal to hold highly perishable food at a temperature as close to fr eezing as possible to retain their vital freshness .
13 Fridge mode The F ridge mode is the ideal storage environment f or most fresh f oods. When storing fresh fruits and vegetables , we rec ommend that they are stored in either the bin on the top tray or the bin on the left-hand side of the main tray .
14 Humidity control Each fruit and vegetable bin has a humidity control button that can be adjust ed to care for fruit or vegetables depending on what is stored in the bins . The humidity contr ols are located on the left hand side of the compar tment (as shown in fig 3, on the pr evious page).
15 Pantry mode The P antry mode finally provides a solution for all those foods that y ou didn ’t previously know what to do with, and have alwa ys resorted to storing on the bench or in the cupboard . The P antry mode is designed specifically for foods that requir e a 'cool, dark plac e' for storage.

17 Wine mode The conditions in which wine is stor ed can have large eff ects on its overall taste and aroma. W armer temperatures can cause pr emature aging of wines and loss of quality . Cold t emperatures can be just as bad, causing irrev ersible damage to the flavor .
18 T o use Wine mode: 1 Press and hold the L OCK button for 3 seconds t o unlock the control panel. 2 Press the MODE SELECT button. 3 Scroll to WINE mode. 4 The W ine mode icon will flash until the compartment is at a suitable temperature f or wine bottles to be added to the compartment (this will take between 1 – 6 hours).

25 T emperatur e adjustment Each of the storage modes will automatically default to an ideal temperature setting . This setting pro vides the recommended temperatur e for this storage en vironment. However , if you want to increase or decr ease the temperature of the compartment, this can be done using the T emperature adjustment control .
26 Key Lock The Key Lock mode disables the contr ol panel so that the storage envir onment cannot accidentally be changed. The display will automatically lock after 15 seconds of the displa y not being used or when the drawer is closed . The red lock ic on will appear above the L ock button when the panel is locked.
27 F ault Alarm If the electronic controller detects a fault which may affect operation, an alarm will sound and the fault icon on the display panel will flash. The audible alarm will stop when any button is pr essed but the lights will continue flashing.

F or best results: Select foods that are very fresh and of good quality . Buy only the amount that you will use within the recommended st orage time.

Stor e them using Fridge mode and use within the recommended time . V acuum packed cheese should be kept unopened in the original packaging.

This gas plays an important role in accelerating the ripening process. Some fruit and v egetables produce large amounts of ethylene, while others ar e very sensitive to the gas.
