28 Exterior Stainless e xterior doors It is important when cleaning the ext erior door surface of y our refrigerat or , to only use liquid dishw ashing detergent dis solved in w arm water and a soft cloth. Dry the door with a clean, lint free cloth.
29 CLEANING CARE – INTERIOR Interior It is important to k eep the interior of the refriger ator and freez er clean to help pr ev ent food fr om becoming contaminat ed during stor age.
30 ST ORING FOOD IN Y OUR REFRIGERA TOR Y our refrigerat or helps to e xtend the stor age times of fresh perishable foods. The c old temper ature slo ws do wn the major causes of food spoilage – namely , the gro wth of bacteria, moulds and y easts, and any chemical and ph ysical reactions.
31 ST ORING FOOD IN Y OUR REFRIGERA TOR Red meat Place fr esh red meat on a plat e and loosely co ver with w axed paper , plastic wrap or foil. Stor e cook ed and raw mea t on separat e plates. This will pr ev ent any juices los t from the ra w meat contaminating the c ooked pr oduct.
32 ST ORING FOOD IN Y OUR FREEZER W e recommend the use of t emperatur es -18°C or c older to stor e food. This means tha t the food can be k ept for longer periods than when refriger ation temper atures ar e used.
33 ST ORING FOOD IN Y OUR FREEZER Meat, poultry and game Do not try to fr eeze mor e than 1 k g meat per 25 L of free zer st orage v olume at any one time. Meat must be fr oz en quickly in order to maintain its t extur e. Do not stuff poultry befor e freezing.
