Battery Charging E 9 CA UTION Use the charger in dr y locations only . W ARNING • Batter y can fall out and injure a child if v ehicle tips ov er . Alwa ys use batter y clamp . • PREVENT FIRE - Do not bypass a P ower Wheels ® fuse. It is a saf ety de vice.
Battery Charging • Plug the charger into a standard 120 v olt wall outlet. Note: If power flo w to the wall outlet is controlled by a s witch, make sure the s witch is ON . • Bef ore first time use , charge the batter y for at least 18 hours. Ne ver charge the battery longer than 30 hours.
Assembl y 11 3 • Separate the rear axle from the other three axles . The rear axle is the longest axle . • P osition a .437 cap nut on a flat surf ace and fit one end of the rear axle into it. • T ap the other end of the rear axle with a hammer to secure the cap nut on the end of the rear axle .
12 • Slide the rear wheel spacer onto the rear axle. • Slide the other rear wheel driv er , barrel side first, onto the rear axle. • Slide the other rear wheel, rib side first, onto the rear axle. Fit the groov es on the rear wheel dr iver to the ribs on the rear wheel.
Assembl y 13 8 • Align the holes in the seat with the holes in the vehicle body . • Insert two #8 x 1" screws through the holes in the seat and into the vehicle body . • Tighten the scre ws with a Phillips screwdriver . Do not ov er-tighten.
• Slide the body axle through the hole in the v ehicle body , the pony body and out through the hole on the other side of the pony and v ehicle bodies. 15 Body Axle • Separ ate the body axle from the other two axles . The body axle is longer than the other axles.
15 Assembly • Fit a .437 cap n ut onto the other end of the body axle. • T ap the cap n ut with a hammer to secure it on the body axle. • Pull on the .437 cap n ut to make sure the body axle is secure. Hint: Y ou ma y want the help of another adult to suppor t the vehicle and pon y bodies while you tap the cap nut with a hammer .
• Fit the other w asher and then the loc k nut on the end of the bolt. 18 Lock Nut W asher Bolt Bottom View 21 • F rom the inside of the assembly , inser t four #8 x 3 / 4 " screws through the holes in the floorboard and into the vehicle body .
17 Assembl y P ony Head Pieces Floorboard Flap • Insert five #8 x 3 / 4 " screws through the holes in the right side of the pony head and into the left side of the pony head. • Tighten the scre ws with a Phillips screwdriver . Do not ov er-tighten.
18 Assembl y Hint: F or longest lif e, use only alkaline batteries. • Loosen the scre w in the sound bo x battery compar tment door using a Phillips screwdriv er and open the batter y compar tment. • Inser t three, siz e “AA” (LR6) alkaline batter ies in the sound bo x as indicated in the batter y compar tment.
19 Assembl y 30 • Using safety scissors , separate the wheel b ushings and the spacer from the plastic connectors. Dispose of the plastic connectors properly .
34 Assembl y • Slide a round bushing barrel side first, onto the front axle. • Fit a .437 cap nut onto end of the front axle. • T ap the cap nut with a hammer to secure it on the front axle. • Pull on the .437 cap nut to make sure the front wheel assembly is secure .
Assembl y 38 • P osition a .437 cap nut on a flat surface and fit one end of the handle axle into it. • T ap the other end of the handle axle with a hammer to secure the cap nut on the end of the handle axle . Hint: Y ou ma y want to position the cap nut on a scrap bloc k of wood to protect the assembly surf ace.
Assembl y • Remov e the plastic strips from the mane. • Dispose of the plastic str ips properly . • Arrange the shor ter hair over the f orehead to form the pony's bangs . 42 22 Mane Plastic Strips • Fit a .437 cap nut onto end of the handle axle.

Adv anced Use - Galloping Mode • Locate the spacer in the front wheel. • Loosen the spacer screw with a Phillips screwdriv er . • Remove the scre w from the spacer . • Remove the spacer from the opening in the front wheel. Changing to Front Wheel Gallop Mode Spacer F ront Wheel • Press the FORW ARD button below the seat.
• Push the front wheel down to slide the front axle and the front wheel to the off-center position. • Re-inser t the spacers into the opening in the center of the front wheel. Hint; Make sure the spacer is positioned to ward the center of the opening in the front wheel.
