Care should be taken in unpac king and assembly of the v ehicle . Children should not handle par ts, including the battery , or help in assembly of the v ehicle .
J4394pr-0921 9 • Fit the rear clip onto the rear end of the v ehicle and ov er the rear bumper . • Make sure the tabs on each side of the rear clip fit into the sides of the vehicle . • “Snap” the sides of the rear bumper into the openings on each side of the rear clip .
J4394pr-0921 10 9 • Fit the seat bar to the back of the seat. • Inser t f our scre ws through the seat bar and into the seat. Tighten the screws . Seat Seat Bar • “Snap” both taillights to the rear clip. T aillights 7 8 • Inser t the f astener end of a shor t seat belt strap through the slot near the outer edge of the seat.

J4394pr-0921 12 15 • Fit the f our f enders marked 1, 2, 3 and 4, to the vehicle , as shown. Hint: The f enders are designed to fit the v ehicle one wa y . • Make sure the peg on the inside edge of each f ender fits into the lower hole inside each wheel w ell.
J4394pr-0921 13 19 • Fit the steering column cap onto the end of the steer ing column. Steering Column Cap • Inser t a scre w through the large opening in the steering column cap and the hole in the steering column.
J4394pr-0921 14 Note: There are front and rear wheels . The rear wheels hav e a groov ed hub while the front wheels do not. • Locate a front wheel. Place the front wheel onto the front axle with the “lug nuts” f acing out. 24 Front Wheel "Lug Nuts" 23 • Fit a front axle cap onto the front axle post and hold it in place.
J4394pr-0921 15 REAR BOTTOM VIEW • Slide the rear axle through the large opening near the rear of the vehicle , as shown. • Place a rear wheel onto the rear axle with the “lug nuts” facing out. • T ur n the wheel until it “locks” in place.
J4394pr-0921 16 • Align the tabs on a hubcap with the slots in a wheel. “Snap” a hubcap into the center of each wheel. • T ur n the v ehicle upright. 31 Hubcaps Hubcaps 33 • While pressing down on the steering wheel, grasp the steering column under the dash and pull it up as f ar as it will go .
J4394pr-0921 17 • Inser t a scre w into the right side mirror and tighten. • Repeat this procedure to assemble the left side mirror . • Fit the steering wheel cap onto the center of the steer ing wheel. • Inser t two scre ws into the steering wheel cap and tighten.
J4394pr-0921 18 • Locate the simulated equaliz er on the dash. • Loosen two scre ws in the simulated equalizer and remo v e it. • Inser t f our “C” (LR14) alkaline batteries. Hint: W e recommend using alkaline batteries for longer battery life .
J4394pr-0921 19 • Bef ore applying the labels, wipe the surf ace of the v ehicle with a clean, dr y cloth to remo ve an y dust or oils. • Place the labels e xactly as shown in the illustrations . For best results , av oid repositioning a label once it has been applied to the v ehicle.

After your child has mastered the basic skills of driving and understands the rules for saf e driving, it’ s time to remov e the high speed loc k-out screw to allo w the vehicle to oper ate in low or high speed .

Chec k plastic par ts on a regular basis f or cracks or brok en pieces. • During snowy or rainy w eather , the v ehicle should be stored inside or under a protective co v er . Remember to charge the batter y at least once per month while your v ehicle is not in regular use.
