Getting started Setting up an ergonomic video workstation 1 ► Do not position the video workstation opposite a window (1). 1 ► Position the monitor outside the reach of a light source (1). 1 ► Position the keyboard where it is easiest to rea ch (1).

Getting started Adjusting height The height adjustment is fi xed in the transport p osition. 3 2 1 ► T o free the immobilisation, hold the monitor pressed dow n (1). ► Then press the slid e in the direction of the arrow ( 2) and release the monitor again (3).
Getting started Removing monitor base Before you can use a swivel arm or a wall brac ket, you must remove the monitor base. The display surface is susceptible to scratching! 1 ► Switch off the monitor and pull the power plug out of the power socket.
Getting started Connecting cables to the monitor The monitor ports are protected by a cover . The supplied data cables have two 15-pin D-SUB conne ctors or two 24-pin DVI connectors for c onnection to the monitor and to the computer . Information on the computer connections and interfaces is contained in the operating man ual for the computer .

Getting started Connecting cables to the computer Information on the computer connections and interfaces is contained in the operating manual for your computer . ► Connect the data cable to the (active) monitor port on the computer and secure the plug-in connection by tightening the safety screws.

Operation The "0" sett ing of the 0W switch (3) on the rear activates energy-saving mode (0W operating mode), the switch setting "1" switches to compatible energy-saving mode <1W . This setting may be necessary on some PCs if the mo nitor remains dark in the 0W operating mode.
Operation Changing the monitor settings When pu tting the monitor into operation for the fi rst time, the screen display should be optimall y adapted to the display adapter used. Changing the monitor settings with the buttons of the control panel The butto ns of the c ontrol panel have two functions.
Operation Activate/ deactivate ECO operating mode The pow er consumption of the d evice can be d ecreased by reducing the brightness of the picture. ► Press the Forwards / ECO button to switch the ECO operating mode on or off. The message Action w as execute d appears.
Operation Changing the monitor settings using the OSD menu With the button s on the control panel, you can c all up and use the integ rated OSD (On-Screen Display) menu. The OSD menu is available in various languages. Th e English m enu names are used in the following description (default setting).
Operation If you want to change other settings, select the corresponding fun ction from the O SD main menu. All possible adjustments of the main menu are described in the following.
