- 13 - Hardware Installation 1-3 Installing the CPU and CPU Cooler Read the following guidelines before you begin to install the CPU: • Make sure that the motherboard supports the CPU.

Step 1: Gently press the CPU socket lever handle down and away from the socket with your nger . Then completely lift the CPU socket lever and the metal load plate/plastic cover will be lifted as well.

Note: Y our system may become unstable or fail to boot after you make changes on the memory timings.

BIOS Setup - 40 - & CPU Fan Control mode Auto Lets the BIOS automatically detect the type of CPU fan installed and sets the optimal CPU fan control mode. (Default) Voltage Sets Voltage mode for a 3-pin CPU fan. PWM Sets PWM mode for a 4-pin CPU fan.
