4 Paper basics You can load many dif ferent types and si zes of paper in the HP Photosmart, including letter or A4 paper, phot o paper, transpa rencies, and e nvelopes.

Check the ink le vels Solution: Check th e estimated ink levels in the cartridges. NOTE: Ink level warnings and indi cators provide estimate s for planning purposes only. When you receive a low-ink warning me ssage, consider having a replacement cartridge available to avoid possible printin g delays.
Align the printer Solution: Aligning the printer can help ensure excellent print quality. To align the printe r from the HP Photos mart Software 1. Load lette r, A4, or legal unused plain whi te paper into t he input t ray. 2. In the HP Solutio n Center, click Settings .
After cleaning the printhead, pr int a print quali ty report. Evalu ate the print quality report to see if the print qual ity problem still exist s. For more information, see: “ Print and ev aluate a print qu ality report” on page 75 Cause: The printhead needed t o be clea ned.
To check your margin settings 1. Preview you r print j ob before s ending i t to the prod uct. In most softwa re applicatio ns, click the File me nu, and then click Print Preview .

Solution 4: Check th e connection fr om the product to your computer Solution: Check the connection from t he product to your co mputer. Verify tha t the USB cable is securely plugged int o the USB port on the back of the produ ct. Make sure the other e nd of the USB cable is pl ugged into a USB po rt on your comput er.
try printing those f iles by using the produ ct software. The copies mi ght not be damaged. Cause: Some of the files o n the inserted me mory card or a ttached stora ge device were damaged. Photos n ot found Try the followin g solutions to resolve the issue.

Use only o ne card at a tim e Solution: You can insert only one memory card a t a time. If more than one memory card is insert ed, the att ention ligh t will blin k rapidly, and an error message will appear on t he computer screen. Remo ve the additiona l memory card to resolve the p roblem.
