16 3 Calling To make a phone call, you can dial a numb er using the keypad or t ouch a number saved in your contact list, on a web page, or in other places . When you are in a call, you can answer other incomin g calls or redire ct them to y our voicemail.
17 3.1. 3 Making a Cal l fr om Call log 1. On the Home screen, touch > Call log to display the call log. If you are alre ady working with Contacts or Dialer , touch the Call lo g tab. 2. Touch to the right of the log entry to dial. If you touch and hold a log entry , the options menu will open.

20 4 Contacts The Contacts application enables you to sa ve and manage information s uch as phone numbers and addr esses of your contact s. After you save c ontact information on your mobile phone, yo u have easy access to the people with whom you want to communica te.
21 4.4 Adding a Contact to Your Favorites • Touch and hold the contact you want to add to Favorites . Then t ouch Add to Favorites . • Touch a con tact, and then tou ch the star to the r ight of the cont act’s name. The star turns gold. 4.5 Searching fo r a Contact 1.

27 5.1. 2 Using t he Touc hPal keyboar d 5.1.3 Switching the Keyboa rd Layout You can swit ch the key board layout o nly when TouchPal is selected. There are three keyboa rd layouts for you to cho ose: Full QWERTY , 12-Key PhonePad and CooTek T+ .

33 7 Getting Connected 7.1 Mobile Net works Your mobile phone will be automatically configured to use your network operator’s 2G/3G service (if available) when yo u turn on the phone for the f irst time. Note that the SIM/UIM card mu st be inserted ( some CDMA m obile phones h ave an integrat ed UIM card and do not need a separat e UIM card) 7.

39 8 Entertainment In addition to being a communicatio n device and personal assi stant, your mobile phone also provides y ou with a multitude of en tertainment possibilities. You can take photos, create videos and au dio clips, and download and list en to music.

41 8.2 Using the Gallery Your Gallery application can automa tically search for pictures and videos on your mobile phone and microSD c ard. Use Gallery to sort photos a nd videos into folde rs, view and edit pictures, wa tch videos, and set a pict ure as wallpaper or as a phot o for a contact.

44 8.4 Listening to the FM Radio The FM radio lets you listen to FM radio programs on yo ur mobile phone. Since the FM radio uses the provided wired ste reo headset as its antenn a, before opening the application, connect the head set to your phone’s the aud io jack.
45 9.1 Creating a Google Acco unt If you do n ot have a Google account , you can create one : 1. After reading the setup information, touch Next . 2. Touch Create . 3. Enter the first name, last name, and user name for your Google accou nt, and then touch Next .
46 9.2. 3 Creat ing an d Sendi ng an E mail 1. In the mail list, touch , and then touch Compose . 2. Enter the message recipient’s email ad dress in the To field. If you are sending the email to several recipie nts, separa te the email addresses with commas.

You can use it to communicate in real time with other people using Talk on a phone or on the web. 9.3.1 Open ing Talk On the Home screen, touch > Talk to open the application.
